I now want a Pokémon game in an ancient setting with all the fossil Mon or at least a Jurassic park like area that’s similar to the safari zone but it’s fossil mon
-
the electric type was insanely cool but nothing could've prepared me for the fairy type. Bravo, this is the type of creativity i miss in most mons nowadays
-
The Elegoop line being infused with tar is basically the same reason all the other fossilmons are rock, right? I love all of these can could see all of them in the game except maybe Stegoleum.... I always liked the idea of a fossil-ghost pokemon that acts more like Rotom, where its a ghost of a dinosaur processing its own fossils... The fairy mons are perfect, though.
-
Gotta get that first like! Fossil Pokémon are genuinely my favourite trope in the games, makes it even sadder that Alola and Johto didn't have any new ones. Congrats on the sponsor as well!
-
That last one is definitely my favorite. It’s perfect. But anyways, I had an idea of a fighting velociraptor, who would have two concepts. One, a coat of feathers resembling marcial art clothing, but being a lot more subtle than say Throh and Sawk. Tans two, it would have a sickle claw on its food made of rock that it would use as a weapon. These would merge to make it a fighter that uses powerful kicks as it’s main fighting style, being the first fighter, with mons like Hitmonlee being essentially spiritual successors, even if they’re not related.
-
The first couple looked like actual Pokémon! That artists needs to be hired like a few years ago. The saber tooth tiger was my favorite though. I’ve wanted one for so long!
-
Hadarina is absolutely adorable, it's just so cute and simple but yet the colors suits it's type and design really well! The evolution is pretty too and I always dreamed to see my favorite dinosaur as a pokemon! So definitely the fairy fossil is my favorite!
-
One idea I once thought of for an electric type Pokémon is one based on the first rodent that is implied to have evolved into all the electric rodents.
-
To those playing Xenoverse, take the Space Fossil over the Print Fossil which gives you Troglolith. The result is 10x more amazing, and truly unique for fossil pokemon.
-
I love how these designs use the parts that make different dinosaurs unique to represent their power or element. Like Parasong and it's headcrest/flute
-
Rockapye and trogolith are a great unique interpretation of fossil
-
I really really really like the fairy type one! I love hadrosaurs, with my second favorite being Parasauralophus. Why can't official games be made using fakemon like this? It would have the added effect of acknowledging the talent of the artists who created them as well as being amazing EDIT: I also really really like the ghost entry. Amazing artwork and reference!
-
I for one can't wait until my favorite dinosaur, Ankylosaurus, becomes a fossil mon. I personally envision it as a rock-steel type with speed worse than a snorlax, complete garbage special attack, descent special defense, and phenomenal attack and physical defense
-
Id so have the Spino, Kapro and Stego as my Dinomon, the ideas are very well thought out from their creators with type elements and looks, hope to see more Dinomon videos in the future
-
---I wonder. Do Pokemon that evolve with Ancient Power count as "Fossil" or at least pre-historic? Tangrowth, Yanmega, Mamoswine...? And then there is Relicanth, too, that is pretty much a Coelacanth...
-
4:51 I really like these, the concept makes a ton of sense as scientists theorize these dinosaur's crests were used to increase their vocal abilities
-
I think a good extinct animal to have a psychic type pokemon based off of it would be the Tully Monster, it's so alien like that it would have to be psychic type.
-
Amazing video! I loved all the fossils you selected for each type
-
My fire type fossil would have been based on the Stegasaurous, due to the misconception that these dinosaurs used the plates on it's back to absorb heat from the sun. It'd have a special ability that increased it's speed and special attack while the sun was up, like Chirubi.
