In this lesson, we take the first basic slide exercises we learnt in Lesson 2 and 3 and start building on a blues song progression. Enjoy! And please ask questions if your unsure of anything.

Also, on an unrelated note - Feel free to checkout my Original Acoustic style singer/songwriter tunes at www.myspace.com/dangreennz

The recordings aren't the best, but it gives you an idea of what other styles of music I've been experimenting with. Thanks for your interest!

Regards

Dan

This is by far the best Slide lesson on the internet..... It allows the pupil to play something meaningful whilst perfecting technique Thanks so much Can't wait to get stuck in!

Hey Dan I just wanted to say thanks a lot, you teach things in a way that can easily be understood. For a learner like me who doesn't pick things up quickly , you demonstrate things quite clearly. It's very refreshing to see.

Your teaching is fantastic! In an hour you tech me a new technik from zero to a cool song which both (the learning process and the song) I enjoy very much. Thank you!!!

Thankyou so much for these lessons... I got distracted with electric guitar for the past 4 years and on the verge of RSI so I thougth I would pull out the old acoustic and try some slide... thanks to your lessons I can actually make musical sounds with a slide in my first sitting! Sweet as! Two thumbs up!

Hey Tony, thanks for the good feedback. As for the string height, it really comes down to personal preference and whether or not you still want to be able to fret/chord the guitar or use it purely for slide! Personally I setup my guitars so I can slide on them and still use them for chords/fretting work as well.

Dan, you're a great teacher with lots of patience to share your knowledge with the rest of us interested in the blues. Thank you for such a helpful video. I'm currently pickin' a cheap standard guitar, but want to purchase a mid range resonator. What kind are you playing? It sounds great.
