They're discussing Comets and Meteors, which are used as cosmic observatories to track the Taurid Meteor shower that Earth passes through every year from June to July. They observed comets wiping out large parts of their civilization in the past, so they were looking out for them. Similar events have been recorded in the history of other civilizations, such as Mesopotamia and pre-Han dynasty in China. The concept of extraterrestrials doesn't necessarily relate to intelligent species, but rather to cosmic events and entities. Early detection of these tailed serpents or comets was crucial for their survival and preventing their extinction from the face of the Earth.

I just hate it when these people take ancient mythology at face value, twist those stories to fit their narrative, and say the ancients were too stupid to understand what was happening. Like, there is very little difference between them and us except access to information and resources. Humans are creative and innovative animals, we’re good at figuring out how things work and coming up with ways to make due with what we have.

I went to this place,, went to the ball park and stood at the end and whistled it echoed around the area no one ever did this it went around and back one of the workers asked me to do it again,, sound was amazing

My wife got heat stroke there, and I was dragging too....but it was a amazing trip. Took a swim in the Cenote to cool down ... We were also blessed by a Mayan shaman...
