“Next time, I won’t be here” Jerry West said that so quickly but that really hit home to me, an absolute legend in every sense of the word and a great person

Met Jerry West 10 years ago when he was in vacation in Italy, asked him for a picture and told him that he was my father's favorite player. He brushed it off and said he wasn't even the best player in his team. Then he told me and my brother stories about Elgin Baylor and Wilt for 10 minutes. I coudn't believe the humbleness and the kindness. One of the very best players ever, and one of the very best GMs ever. And an even better human being. RIP to the logo.. Another two stories from the same trip i forgot, he told me he visited the Colosseum every time he visited Italy because Gladiator was one of his favorite movies 🤣 And he told us to enjoy every single win in life, small or big, be proud of everything you accomplish, because he was so obsessed with winning that losing haunted him, he said he was always thinking about his losses and it didn't let him enjoy life fully. He really was one of the GOATS..

I love how honored chuck was when Jerry West picked him. And then he goes immediately back to roasting Kenny 😂😂😂

Man, I would love for Mr West to just go over what he loves about each team, he’s so knowledgeable about the game of basketball and the fact that everyone in the room calls him “Mr West” is just a testament of how respected he is in the basketball world

When Chuck said to Kenny “You’re mad coz it stops at 75 If it went down to 275 you actually could have made it” I just died 😂

Jerry West is a treasure. he holds so much respect, you can tell by how quiet everybody becomes when he talks.

Jerry West almost won the contest just by himself. He didn’t even need to consult stats or study hard for it, his sense for talent and team building is just amazing.

Idk if anyone caught Jerry West’s comment at the end about “not being here the next time you guys do this”. I know death is a part of life. But this man is so sweet and pure and is a walking encyclopedia of NBA knowledge. He will be really missed at the next Draft

Jerry West - no words can describe this gentleman. His knowledge, insight of the new and the old, and his genuine respect and love for the game.

Mr. West’s wealth of knowledge, Chuck’s merciless jokes, Quavo’s commitment to drip…this was a joy to watch.

West is so right about how under appreciated Stockton is. Career leader in Assists AND Steals. He literally owns 2 of the main five categories we use to measure player’s abilities. Nobody else has two of those five.
