I use to play here in the 90s. They were struggling then and started selling really cheap weekday memberships. If I remember correctly they were $250 for the year. For $500 you also got weekends after 11am or something like that. They always had super ice cold water in the clubhouse. Once played with the President of Nippon US and his visiting boss from Japan. I was not allowed to pull the pin. The US guy HAD to pull it for his boss. I made a game out of it. Lol.

That was my home course😂😂 now we got to go to pecan hollow which is like 5 mins from there but so many fond memories on that course that’s where my dad taught me how to play one of the main reasons they had to close it is because everytime it rained heavy the course would flood and have like 1-2 feet of standing water on it

The land was purchased by the City of Plano for the purpose of creating a park. The city purchased the land with the plan to shut down the golf course.

Just discovered this series and have thoroughly enjoyed it. You have got to try out Cobblestone Golf Course in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. If you do, give me a shout. Dirt mounds for greens, unmowed clover for fairways, best grass is in the bunkers. Worst customer service ever. I will pay for the round and would enjoy meeting you.

I feel like with the golf community and social media, larger golf YT channels or a collaboration of smaller TY channels should invest in these run down courses like Bryan Bros and rehab them so they can be saved. So many courses being left and abandoned making existing courses over crowded and over priced.

You should check out Quail Ranch Country course in Moreno Valley California. It closed in 2008.
