After doing what she did, i would be embarrassed to ever show my face publicly again. i loved her motherhood content, pregnancy content, etc. and i am baffled and disturbed so much by her actions, i’ll never watch her again. She DEFINITIVELY needs to reach out to her victims. even if they don’t forgive her she needs to do this privately

I don't remember who said it first, but someone said that good comedy should never "punch down." For example, comedians who make fun of marginalized people, victims of abuse (like Matt Rife did), etc. are punching down. If you're going to make fun, make fun of things like oppressive systems or powerful people who use their power to hurt others. To paraphrase another source, good comedy will comfort the oppressed and only discomfort the oppressors. Also, re: Colleen--I hate that Janelle was right about her swift return, but I am happy Janelle's back! And I hope your adorable hippo stays healthy.

Keeps him engaged but aware that the ornaments are fragile and we can’t touch them. It’s very sweet to see him look up at it in wonder. Enjoy these moments they go so fast ❤

I was hoping for that Matt Rife joke to be funnier because I have been there and dark humor can def be healing! I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for a few years. The night it finally turned physical, he attacked me and I ended up with a black eye. I had to get on a plane early the next morning to go to a new hire training for Verizon. I cant tell you how humiliating it is to walk around with that on your face. Hotel staff and the other new hired employees were concerned about me. I tried to put makeup over it and carried on wearing my stylish business casual clothes, but makeup doesnt cover up purple bruises. One of the HR people ended up taking me into her office and asking if I was OK. I told her I was not and she offered to transfer my job to anywhere that I wanted in order to get me safe. Before even working for them, Verizon transferred me from NM out to TX to be with my family and start a new life away from my ex. That was 7 years ago this month, and I now have an amazing life that I built from scratch! ❤🎉 I took a photo of myself with that black eye and I revisit it from time to time. Im proud of myself and anyone else who has dealt with abuse and left, then come out stronger on the other side! ❤
