    an important thing to consider by foreigners is foreigners should be humble and foreigners should avoid being arrogant.If you treat Filipinos right with respect then they will treat you best but if you treat Filipinos in a wrong attitude then expect Filipinos to treat you as you treat them... respect begets respect...

    Simple fact that Filipinos have English as a 2nd language means a lot... easy communication for more interaction with the locals.

    For the guy from Nigeria, I would say that what makes it difficult for some Filipinos to communicate to foreigners are their accents and speech rate. So the best way to actually let those who are having trouble communicating is by speaking to them a bit slow, by then they would have time to think and understand what you are saying or asking.

    Filipinos are known for hospitality.I am from Quezon province,2 hrs from Manila,we have Lucban Quezon,we have Pahiyas festival every May 15.Free meals for everyone in town plus other festivities like the pabitin,local beauty pageants,singing contests,religious activities and processions ,Santacruzan etc.
