“迎”(ying)means welcome. Welcome to China and enjoy yourself, Josie!

Regarding your question about ethical treatment of the pandas, this place is the worlds best, bar none, environment and research center to preserve the species which was once endangered due to humans encroaching their habitats! You can rest assured that they were well pampered !

'wo bu yao(I don't want) toy pandas, wo yao(I want) a real panda ' 😂

Pandas are my FAVORITE ANIMAL! I was so happy to see how well they’re cared for and it does seem very ethical. Thank you for sharing this because it’s my dream to see a giant panda in real life but for now I’ll live vicariously through your vlog

If you find a red flag here, then literally 100% of panda enclosures in the world would be classified as abusive to pandas.

The reason we don't often see the fathers' name could be....sometimes Sichuan institution recruits "casual employees" from the wild or other institutions to "do the job". In general it will help maintain genetic diversity. And in their study next generations bred this way would have higher chance servive after set free in the wild.

sorry to see you visit in the afternoon. You DO need to come at pandas' breakfast time. You can see almost evey panda then. Not just hiding far, you can see them eating, chasing, playing, climbing, and some even play with the keeper. To anyone who also want to visit teh resort, you either go at 6 or dont waste your day. They are TOTALLY DIFFERENT experences.

Hello Josie & Michael👋👋👋 This was a great video, I love all animals and feel as you do about them being treated ethically, from what I’ve seen online Pandas are well cared for in China, this place seemed very attentive on making sure the pandas habitats are equipped for their comfort and all their needs are being met. It saddens me to know they’re endangered and I pray with the help of sanctuaries like these their population will be rebuilt🙏 TYFS , I enjoyed this very much…Have a blessed day/week🙏♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🙏

Ethical treatment is something you never need to worry about with pandas in China, Panda is a national treasure of China. We have done everything we can to preserve and repopulate them. As to why pandas have become an endangered species, it is highly related to their behaviour, food, reproduction and habitant. Hunting is not the reason. Unlike sea cows, dodos, and passenger pigeons, the extinction of those animals was related to human overhunting. Pandas are not "endangered' anymore, they are now in the category of "vulnerable", which is a better status. It is safe to say this species is saved with a growing population in the wild. A lot of work has been done to help wild pandas .

Thank you for sharing your personal travelling to the world.
  • 迎迎 ying ying means welcoming, usually used as 欢迎, "huan ying" i.e. happy welcome or joyful welcome (literally, but it's intended to convey & often translated as just "welcome")

This is great, another great video - so nice to come home after work and watch your videos.

Years ago you could pay to hold a baby, now the care is so much better. The San Diego Zoo figured out a way to improve the diet so they could breed better. China has really gotten behind taking care of these animals, and deserves a great deal of credit.

If you question the treatment and habitats of the environment here in the park, lease go visit other country’s park enclosures. You will see the big difference that the environment here in China is soooo much better.

Pandas prefer to move around when the weather is cool, especially in the summer. They usually reduce their activities during the day. So according to experience, you must go earlier in the summer, and early morning is more suitable. In addition, going to the Wolong Giant Panda Base 110 kilometers away is also a good choice. The Chengdu Panda Base is built in a big city, while Wolong is near the real panda habitat, where there are also a lot of pandas, fewer tourists, and the surrounding natural environment is also very beautiful.Have a nice trip!

You have to check the feeding schedule. They are feeding the pandas a few times a day. That is when you could see them moving, running, eating and fighting in front of you. The rest of the day they will be just sleeping in the shed. not much movement.

"Ya Zhu" means "Elegant Bamboo". She must have a good table manner. LOL...
