I imported a Shimano Vanquish in late 2023 and it has the same spooling as this Twin Power and the Stella. Seriously great reels! I won't own anything but a Shimano.
  • I have the stradics and every reel up to the stella love them all. One thing ill let you know about the vanford is the known flex issues are more from the size 2500 up to the 5000. The 500 , 1000 and 2000 have no issues because they are smaller and more compact. Thus i kept my 500 and 2x 2000s and sold my 2500 and 3000 vanfords. Now I have 2x twin power 3000 fes and 2x stella 3000 fks and love both of them. But theres definitely more differences then just the bearings between the two. The information is on Shimanos website i just dont want to write a novel. Lol But im like your first bud i can tell the difference between the 2 if i was blind folded. They are both smooth but stella is a more refined smoothness both in reeling and drag. ( Your 2nd bud you can tell you he's not a spinning reel guy without you even having to say anything 😂 his vote don't count ) I also dont buy Shimanos from the states anymore due to the greed and price increases the states put on their products instead I buy them directly from Japan. Yes they dont have warrantys but been using shimano for damn near 20 years+ i have only ever had 1 issue so im not worried about it The Twin Power Fe c3000XG is $303.62 The Stella FK c3000XG is $538.11 I bought one twin power and stella together and it was only $10 more then what one stella would cost here in the states. Plus free shipping and get it normally in 2.5 days from kobe , japan to front door. You cant even get that service here with the $50 " overnight " fees 😂 🤦🏽‍♂️ That being said for $300 id take the twin power all day every day. Another crazy thing is buying the twin from over seas is also cheaper then the sustain here and it's 2x the reel the sustain is. Food for thought for those looking at the sustain. ( Get the twin )

Thanks for another great reel overview. The look and the specifications is very like the Vanquish that I have from overseas. I’ve been using the Vanquish 5K for slinging artificial baits for snook…due to the light weight and smoothness it’s been a great reel. I would assume this new Twin Power will be the same.
  • The 5k been putting work on the snook lately! Great on a med heavy rod for medium to large swimbaits
  • I’d choose the 24 TP over the Sella FK based on the features and price. Sure the 24 TP is not a Stella FK. I wouldn’t knock anyone that bought a reel that they are happy with. I’m older now. I don’t like to have the top of the line in anything. It comes with an inflated price at the end that doesn’t instill happiness in me. As I get older I tend to also lean towards lighter gear like a 23 Vanquish. I’ll be looking at the 24 TP when I go to the Tackle shop tomorrow. 😊 Great video!

Nice review! 👍 Two questions— 1. Is this much improved over the Saragosa SW and the Twin Power XD? 2. Is there any difference between the TP sold in North America/Europe markets vs the JDM versions? Digitaka has the TP FE, listed much less $$$ than ones sold in Bass Pro/Cabelas Thanks!

i have the Stella 4K FK, curious to why Shimano would design an exact model... i do believe, the insides are designed a bit different. you can tell with the drag and the bail flip, when shimano starts to incorporate the Stella's design to the lower end reels, it means the Stella's are getting a redesign. great review of the reel though
  • @thatonebeone
oh high end daiwa reels like the EXIST if later on the gears feels bit off due to use over time they wont sell you the gears and some other parts so you need to send it to them to get it fixed.. shimano sells most the parts to you so you can do it yourself.. i was looking around doing some digging before i buy a new high end reel and noticed that . kind sucks cant get some parts and have to send it back as im a DIY person then many years later they will not support the reel anymore and you'll need to buy a new one :face-blue-smiling:

Please do a comparison between the twinpower fe and new certate! Thanks in advance
  • @DNOYPIANGLER
stella is stella. :) But.....Maybe I will buy this new one.
  • @linekerkb
I am a great fan of TP. Paying only 60% of the stella price & you get 90% stella on a TP👍
  • @gktuah
Do you think suitable for jigging?
  • @thomaskong5
Certate is better. I have a 3k 24 twinpower and 4K 24 certate. The start up inertia on my 3K TP is awful compared to the certate or vanquish
  • @leepao6302
I prefer the Vanquish over the Stella and the TP; because i only fished freshwater fishery; it's has nothing to do with the price. Plus i prefer the color of the Vanquish over the Stella color paint job; atheistically i find the Stella kinda boring in opinion. Now they also make the TP almost the same color scheme as the Stella too; that even make the Stella less special 🤣
