  • Now, Antic. I do not if you are aware of this but the voice of Ennui, Adèle Exarchopoulos, is also the voice of Ember in the French dub of Elemental. The reason for this is that I cannot help but picture Ember but with the appearance and mannerisms of Ennui. I find that very amusing.

Hearing how much the first resonated with you really made me feel things inside.
  • All I need to say is that… …this was perfect. Both the review and the film itself.
  • I really connect with your story about Inside Out being there for you in your time of need. The movie came out at the same time I had a terrible depression, and I am not too sure I would be here without Inside Out too. Inside Out 2 was beautiful as well! Thank you for your review!

I would honestly go as far as to say it is Pixar's best sequel since Toy Story 2. It's visually stunning, it's emotionally impactful, it's powerfully performed, and it's masterfully written. I freaking LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!
  • Talk about the most unexpected yet surprising sequel of 2024, so reveled that Pixar was able to expand the first Inside Out and turn it into something meaningful!! Inside Out 2 is probably the studios' best sequel since the past toy story installments and maybe Monsters University even if that's a prequel. On a side note, the 2nd season of Monsters at Work is amazing and more people should watch it just saying!!
  • I saw the movie on Friday. While we can agree Inside Out 2 unlike most sequels in recent years gets the job done in certain aspects, it’s not on the masterful level of the original movie. The story can be a bit repetitive. But I found the animation, world building and tonal balance forgiving enough. I went in with moderate expectations. And the finished cut didn’t go above or below them. Better than nothing which I wish I can say the same for how tough it is to find a good movie in general these days. So I rather give it an 8/10

Will say, I think Inside Out 2 being as well-received as it may help ease up people who partook in the mass hysteria earlier this month about Pixar focusing less on personal autobiographical stories and more universal truths alongside franchise films on the way. Because while it does suck Disney is imposing stuff like that because they learned the wrong lessons from how Lightyear bombed and Elemental struggled at first (I mean, their response to the former bombing was greenlighting another Toy Story sequel), this sequel I think shows even in franchise films, Pixar is going still to give 110% in their craft. It alongside Puss In Boots: The Last Wish are evidence just because it's a franchise film doesn't mean it can't be revolutionary nor be innovative in mainstream western animation filmmaking. Plus, with the success of this one just by the first weekend alongside the strong reception allowing great word of mouth to help carry it in the long term, that hopefully means Pixar is back in people's minds as something to go to the theater for again and that it's success can rub off on Elio and that unnamed 2026 original film (assuming Disney and Pixar play their cards right).
  • Inside out is helped me get though a break up with someone from my high school .
  • I have always loved the original Inside Out and have watched it so many times. I saw the sequel this past weekend, and I loved it a lot. I think the original was just a little bit better, but the sequel really delivered on so many levels. I am definitely going to watch it again.
