    I also understand Neighbors with Solar Panels emit lots of RFI even when down the street. As more and more families adopt these, it will be a problem plaguing us. Also bad transformers in the neighborhood will cause interference, contacting the local power company can resolve this.
  • I live 1/2 mile from powerlines and off grid. I run strictly DC in the radio room. Very quiet except for the DC powered LED lamps. Am using chokes and capacitors to hush them. While chasing DX all inverters and charge controllers are off. Battery power only. Good luck with your noisy suburbs.
  • pity the appliances do not comply with emf issues when we first buy them….as they should
  • I just got a cell wifi gateway. Wow is it noisy! I moved it as far as possible on the other side of the house and still here it some on vhf! Also the wifi repeaters are noisy too on vhf and hf.

    I found the source. It's. coming. from. OUTSIDE. the. house! heh... Power transformer is sparking 24/7. Directional antennas are the only way I can do anything.
