If it’s this hard to be a Seal imagine what it’s like to be a Walrus

I was a seal, class of 201. I spent my days sunbathing and catching fish. Occasionally we would all pile on the beach on top of each other to keep warm. My team and I were proficient swimmers. We would always train evasion techniques from hunters who wanted our fat. That’s what being a seal is.

People like The David Goggins went through this 3 times in a single year, Nothin but utter respect for them.

0:49 most navy seals i have seen in interviews say war is easier then training. Very interesting to watch this stuff

To everyone who’s ever went through this and passed mad respect and thank you for your service 🙏🫡 🇺🇸
  • I just want to thank everyone that has served in the military and this video shows how much hard work it is
  • I remember in basic the exhaustion was so intense my body adapted so I could basically sleep while standing or marching in formation. It was just enough to get rest but my body was on autopilot and my brain was somehow getting the messages on what I was supposed to be doing and my brain made it happen. It is a pretty common phenomenon. The same thing happened when deployed. Being so exhausted you feel like you're going to die but you have a job to do. There is one lingering thing that has remained due to all the sleep deprivation in the military: I can sleep on command/any chance I get and I can sleep anywhere and under any circumstances.

To the US Navy Seals: You have every ounce of my respect. I sincerely thank you for your dedicated service. And for those who never finished the training, I respect and thank you too, as you've done far more than I ever could. God bless you all.

David Goggins did it 3 times, just a different and amazing person

It's mental, and all about how much you want it and are willing to sacrifice for it. Granted you don't injure yourself in the process. Recruiters even said so "it's not the most fit people who succeed, but often the people who don't look like it, but who have the mental fortitude to push through and not give in".
  • Years ago at Naval Station Norfolk I met and chatted briefly with a Navy SEAL. He was a pretty nice cool guy.
  • I once read that 10 Harvard students equal 1 Navy Seal. These Warriors, the ones who pass the exam, do not feel hunger, don't sleep much, almost never get tire, are use to extreme temperature and cold and still have energies to do their tasks. Navy Seals were born to be Elite Warriors!
  • Closest I’ve gotten to being a Seal was I served in the Marine Corp and went through Scout Swimming School, boat teams, cold water, a lot of swimming days/nights sleep deprived. I loved it . I wish I had known I could have requested to get into Seal Teams as a Marine. Mentally/physically I was prepared, yet I know the % of success, but to me the honor . It’s harder to become a Seal then it is to graduate Harvard/Yale.. the utmost respect to the Seal Team members.. nobody will ever know how cold ur body gets and how mentally hard that is

I was in the regular Navy from 1976 to 1984. The SEALs made an appearance seeing if anyone wanted to try out. I took one look at those guys and I knew I wasn't tough enough! Those guys started out ripped!

My dad is a navy seal, the man had a massive hernia in his stomach and poked it in and used duct tape to keep it hidden. Also he said this only covered the easy stuff of round 1!
  • I served two years in the national guard, and two years in the IDF when I lived in Israel. However BUDs is a whole other level that seems terrifyingly worse than anything I've ever been exposed to. So much respect for the SEALs
  • @vsupreme9386
If you pass BUDS you get the privilege of continuing your try out for the SEALs. You still have pool comp, phase 3 at Coronado Island and SQT before you get to go to the teams.
