  • I have a niece who lives in Sulphur about three or four blocks from where the tornado hit.She only lost a tree and was in the storm shelter when it hit.She likes to jog and a few days after the storm went running. She said when she came into the area hit by the storm, she had to stop and cry. While she was stopped someone came to her and ask if she wanted something to eat or drink. She has only lived in Sulphur for just over a year, moved there to retire. She likes Sulphur a lot but was still shocked of the kindness of the people.

I’m a 70 year old woman from Tucson, AZ. I love hearing you both talk (it’s just that Daniel talks so much faster. That makes what DeeJay has to say all the more special. I love the donkeys and the Alpacas (My name is Tina-no joking). I’ll be praying. I have a Heavenly Father who promised he’d be listening. Blessings to all.
  • @MichealLiam
I'm 47yrs old. $73,000 biweekly and I'm retired, this video have inspired me greatly in many ways that I remember my past of how I struggled with many things in life to be where I am today!!!!❤️
  • @tiffymcconkey
My heart breaks for everyone that lost homes, buildings ect. Praying for all of you
  • @bowed305
Saw an update yesterday from Dusty, and he had very similar things to share. It's sad to see the old things destroyed, but I'm hoping and praying for good things to eventually come from all of this destruction.
  • I’m 52 years old. I accidentally knocked over our oil burner that we heated our house with right before Christmas when I was 5. I still see the flames running through our kitchen as I yelled and got my mom and sisters awake. Things like that live with you. I’m still sending prayers for the town.
  • @smartgrandma
I never get bored with the two of you! You both make me smile and help me get thru my challenging, painful days. You do change my world, as it is, with being housebound & recliner/bedbound for 10 1/2 years. You change my world in such wonderful ways. Our kids and grandkids are all up in Connecticut and don't get to video chat much, so I spend more time with you than I do with them. Our "kids" are in their mid to upper 40's, so they are younger than you both, so you both bring out the proud Mom in me when I watch you. Oh. I love the "Do Your Best" tank top and visor that you recently delivered to me. It will be great encouragement for Mike, my 97 year old Dad that lives with us, and me! I love that you share your faith and God with us. It truly helps us. Thank you. Stay safe, okay? With loads of prayers and love, Donna Gulyas in Spring Hill, CT.
  • Bringing manufacturing back to the US is where the recovery all starts for our entire country.

That shock never leave, I'm a 65+ yr old woman that went thru tornado in 1965 in Minnesota. My Auntie and Uncle's house was the only thing left standing for blocks. They slept 40+ people in their basement for the first night including me. The state locked down the entire community for days. No person could come in if your driver's license said that you didn't live the community. You had no business being there. You couldn't walk in or drive in. My dad tried many times to come get me. Finally my uncle walked me out to the border crossing and my dad was there to take me home. For many years just the tv saying there was tornado watch up would put me in the basement for the day. That is what terror is. My highschool graduation was held under tornado watch and was in gymnasium I sat as close to girls locker room just in case. I'm better now then when I was younger. Hey Daniel, did you mess with tree branch, noticed the cut and slightly darken under eye?
  • I’m in Iowa where all the flooding is going on and not looking forward to how long it is going to be to get things back to a new normal. We have roads that are completely gone and the landscape has changed. Still praying for Sulphur and the long recovery. Please pray for us too.
  • This could be a new show for HGTV. Remember when the Napier's came in and helped a whole town out. Love to see them rebuild the historical parts. Get it going Daniel.
  • @rachemlil
Thank you Daniel for keeping us up to date! I am so sorry still so hard to see!!
  • DJ I don't find you guys boring. I find you amazing to deal with the heart break and still find a silver lining behind the clouds. Hang in there. There is an old Jewish proverb that says, "when God closes a door He always opens a window".
  • In 2016 our entire Parish, along with many other Parishes, were flooded. One normal size river had increased by 25 miles wide. And that was just one. Lots of other rivers and bayous fed into, or out of that river. And you can still drive around and see homes that have not been touched. Our Daughter in Law’s father died last year from mold that was hidden inside the home. Not only did everyone lose just about everything that they owned, there were people going around ripping off families, saying they would do the work to rebuild, but took the money and ran. I had just finished treatments for breast cancer, the month before, and I had to learn how to do things that I had never done before. It took 2 years of working every day. My husband worked at a plant, and would come work about an hour, then go work 12 hours, then come back and work well into the night. He slept very little. It was so hard. So I know what those people are going through. I pray for everyone that was involved in helping to clean up and rebuild. So to drive around and see homes still in ruins after this long is hard to see.
  • You and your brother inlaw are on the same track. Dusty was on yesterday talking about Sulfur. My typing teacher in high school was from Sulfer Her last name was Gilmore. That was back in the 1970's I graduated in 1973 . MY hometown is Conroe Texas.
  • @vickersat206
I love listening to Daniel talk. He’s never boring. Still keeping your community in my prayers.
  • Tell DJ we love you and love to listen to you, but I also love to listen to DJ. I have special feelings for your family, your videos I open first when I turn on my computer. Emily and Houston are the same ages as a two of my grandchildren, they are brother and sister also. You just hold a special place in my heart.
  • Saddens me to see the aftermath of that tornado 2 months later. I cannot begin to imagine how hard it must be for those who went through it. I'm 74 years old and I know how difficult it is for me to do what I used to do with no difficulty now. But starting over is well beyond what I can grasp at any age let alone elderly or disabled persons starting over. Pray that God blesses Sulfur as richly as it was destroyed and that it comes back even better than it was.
  • When Greensburg and Andover got hit by tornadoes it was about 2 years before things started looking like a sense of normal
