Almost home, hits home for me. I have a little different take on the song though. Having a brother who struggles with addictions and has been homeless for a long time. One of the last times I saw him he said ā€œ Iā€™m tired Ninny. I wish Jesus would take me homeā€. In the song I imagine a tired homeless man in the cold on the edge of crossing over to our forever home. We had a daddy who farmed and a momma who always had dinner waiting for us. My brother was also chased by bees one time and helped my daddy on the hay fields. So this song just means so much to me and I continue to pray for his recovery and a better future. Thank you Craig Morgan for the beautiful song.
  • I served 22 1/2 years on active duty and 8 in the guard. I can totally relate to the difficult transition.

Tears flooded our eyes when we heard The father, my son ā€¦/ as we lost two sons, Craigā€™s age. He is an inspiration to a lot of people.

Heā€™s a good guy you can tell. Almost Hime is one of my favorite songs. ā¤ļø I loved the way he talked about his wife. šŸ„°

Vet to Vet, mad respect. Just discovered him and love his crisp and clear voice and his perspective. I follow Jelly Roll and appreciate his gritty experience. Then discovered Craig and am a quick fan. Way to go Soldier.

A few years back Craig and his family had a reality show that I enjoyed. I have so much respect for Craig! His faith and his love for his family is so refreshing! My heart ached for Craig and his family when his son passed away. His music is healing and uplifting. Thank you for having Craig on your show.

Thanks for your service Mr Morgan, my father served in the UK armed forces. The Royal Navy, out in Aden in the 60', he used draw his gun licence and his Bren Gun to protect the ship he was serving on. He never ever spoke of it, and unfortunately we have lost contact at a time when I needed help. And haven't spoke since 08, I came close to death and he never said anything to me or since.

I'm sooo glad he shaved his beard!! I can see his cheeks..smile..his eyes lights up when he laughs...his beard "masked" his personality to me!
  • @oceanblue3803
I just really really admire Craig. His sense of serving, etc. Iā€™m not sure I could ever listen to ā€œAlmost Homeā€ ever again. It was my husbandā€™s favorite song of his. He just passed away after 41 years of marriage. This interview is wonderful!!!
  • @ES-tt4qi
