Great story, Thomas, and as far as I’m concerned that wasn’t an embarrassing fail that was actually pretty freaking cool being a teenager at the time and were able to throw the guitar was such velocity that it went through a wall, that’s a rockstar move if I ever heard of one, also I used to have an Ibanez RG 470 back in the day really should’ve kept that guitar really regret losing that one. That’s one I would love to have back anyway keep up the great work and it would be awesome. If you could get Steve Vai to show up on the YouTube live stream one of these days.

I have ZERO shame sharing this. I am now 45, but Since picking up the guitar I have had this love affair with Ibanez. RG's and JEM 7's would have me day dreaming all day in class with the Ibanez Catalog open in my text book. I first saw/heard of you was on Vai' Passion and Warfare. Then Refugee came along. I had a Ibanez EX1500.. trans blue, gold hardware, non locking "Strat" style bridge. While I wasnt 3ft 6in I learned and played along with that Cassette tape over and over again. Of course Murdering the solos.. Reading everything I could get my hands on reguarding You and the band, Also Vai.. Never got the Jem7, but Still listen to Refugee regularly.. Great songs, great talent, and of course the IBANEZ's!!!

I would love to see “Refugee” get a re release on vinyl. It’s a really solid album with great songwriting, playing and vocals. It still holds up.

I'd have checked the other side of the wall, if the headstock made it through, signed! 😂
  • @seanwinter007
Hahah! I can imagine some poor bastard sitting on the toilet when all of the sudden a friggan Ibanez headstock comes right through the wall like a horror movie!!!
