When Americans say they grew up on Hersheys, it breaks my heart. I'm German and I was almost starstruck when I first held a Hershey's kiss in my hands. Imagine my disappointment when I then ate it and it tasted like dirt. :')

Title should be changed to: British Food Finally Gets Validated for 15 Minutes Straight
  • @MrArchie800
Most of the best British chocolate companies have been bought by US companies who then changed the recipe to align with the US market making the original chocolate MUCH worse - this is an known gripe with British people

"Definitely worth like $25" Terry's CEO: WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWNNN!!
  • I can't believe they got both Babish and the Burger Scholar in this video

Remember my Californian colleague bringing Hershey drops to the office. Our boss, he too american, told her off for bringing the stuff. Once she tried our chocolates she understood why. We are in Lugano, Switzerland.

“He one-shotted a tea cake!” I will never be able to eat a Tunnock’s teacake again without remembering that 🤣

“One of these pieces and I’m satisfied. It’s not like an addictive chocolate”…not me watching being being able to polish off a whole Terry’s chocolate orange in one sitting because I had one slice 😅

3:01 "WHAT IS THAT" ..I love how his accent temporarily turned British when he said that 😂

Here in Wales our local shop has an 'American' section. The Hershey bars have to be marked as 'chocolate flavour' as it doesn't legally qualify as chocolate.
  • Chocolate from Britain, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany You in safe hands it's taste good .
  • 27 years ago I introduced my American boyfriend (now husband of 25 years) to British and European chocolate. To say he was blown away is an understatement. His friend, who was on the trip with him, went back to the US and opened a British goods store in NY. I did my best to educate you Yanks!!!

“i thought we had to make a wish” WAS THE CUTEST SENTENCE I’VE EVER HEARD😭😭😭

Another technique for opening and separating a Chocolate Orange is the thumb and forefinger squeeze. But this requires superhuman strength and is a rare feat amongst British people, demanding respect when successfully accomplished.

Hershey uses some sort of sterilised off milk, that gives it that long shelf life and vomit flavour undertones.

"I am a huge mint chocolate fan" levi : I took that personally
  • @chelanocoach

Height of British chocolate was the 80's and 90' , companies have changed hands and the recipes have changed , UK Cadbury chocolate has been altered by Mondelez (Kraft) and a lot more chocolate has been infused with less cocoa solids and more sugar and milk powder.
