  • We should get an Electric-Rock Pika clone that's also a fossil mon that's the canonical ancestor of all Pika clones. Most of the mammals during the dinosaur times looked like rodents anyway. Also, I would definitely scream-sing with Chippu.
  • I love your art style and the little animations for explaining abilities
  • @MatameVideos
The first design for Chippu looks awesome. I don't think it looks like a Pokemon, but as an independent design is pretty solid. For real
  • I actually really like the glasses on the original Chippu. I can see those animations working really well.
  • @indisplutably
Have you considered making Chippu much more chipmunk-y? Chipmunks have stripes down their backs that make a perfect place to implement the wave patterns. You could even have different forms for each different wave pattern. Also, if you depict Chippu with full cheeks, that would make for a nice nod to the Pikaclone cheeks without it giving off a "bootleg" vibe. If you think about the silhouette of a chipmunk and a squirrel, they are in fact very different. I think it'd be cool to see a design where you capitalize more on that.

The first design on Chippu is by far the best. You should pull more from that version on designs
  • @ZitroKingCX
I think it's interesting to note that for Pikachu evolving into Raichu in the generation it was released in then getting a pre evolution the next generation Marill evolving into Azumarill in the generation it was released in then getting a pre evolution the next generation as well The weirdest part about this is that Azurill is the only Pokemon that has connections to the previous two generations where as the rest of the Pokedex for gen3 are all brand new Pokemon evolutionary lines Sure there's no official source but it's such an interesting topic that no one really talks about...
  • @bunbox
Not going to lie, the first chippu was the best imo. You might have been too critical on yourself and scared if people would find it weird with your leaning in on the waveform concept.
  • I know not everyone might like the Pikaclones every gen- but personally really love them! It’s also ways cool to see what they come up with! And I especially love your design :D
  • @BingBongFairy
I love that they're genetically all related, and emolga is just... my favorite little guy. I love sugar gliders/flying squirrels, and just adore the shape they chose the the ears and tail! And the fact that the anime made it a pocket sized diva who clashes with the smuggest of leaves is hilarious
  • I do like your final design, but heck. I LOVE your first design of Chippu! It's so adorable and I love the concept of using the tinted glasses for showing chiptune waves. >w< I dunno why you weren't really satisfied with it tbh, my absolute favorite of the designs. It'd be really cool if you did reference it in your final product.
  • @borgus11
chippu is so cute and puts a twist on pikachu clones, mostly pikachu clones and chonky but you made yours more like a slim body, and it kinda looks like a super hero
  • @shon14Z
Your first design was amazing! The rest were are also great but I really liked the first one
  • @keijello3632
8:27 there's actually a kinda similar idea in biology called: deep sea gigantism! theres a popular video going around describing how it works, and affects animals like giant squid :D
  • @james9802
I’m so happy I found this channel, every video is so good. Really lovely artwork too!
  • @Zadanoire
honestly both versions 1 and 3 of Chippu are really cute but HOLY SHIT the final form is perfect!!
  • @tuney7319
I really like that you make your own music for the videos, avoids copyright and it’s cute
  • @aceproflat858
Your art for the stema region and super auto battlemon is amazing
  • @oripoke4396
Oh I love the final Chippu! So much fun seeing your process and appreciate the deep dive into one of my favorite Pokémon design archetypes :D
