Tommy G, I live in the outer banks of North Carolina and we have an incredibly corrupt sheriff department that covers up officer misconduct. We are an affluent community and tourist attraction, but ive been told by some of the less affluent about some of the serious unreported malpractice, including sexual intimidation on citizens by the sheriff’s own son who is one of the highest ranking in the department. You could have a great vacation down here and report on a corrupt sheriff family that has stayed in power for decades.

I am from Pacific Northwest and never had been to the south. I joined the army and was stationed in hinesville ga. I was never a people person but I am grateful for the hospitality I was shown in the south. I wasn’t having a very good time and had no family or friends and a ton of people in that town would drive to my house to check on me and take me to do things all the time. When I deployed they allowed me to store all my stuff at their house and all of it was still there a year later when I returned.
