My late father maintained the elevators in Little Rock Baptist Church, and he could hear Aretha rehearsing when she was about 18-19 years old. So he’d go back to the sanctuary and slip in the back to listen to the sheer power in her voice.

I remember how Simon was talking trash about this woman and her weight on American Idols! He said she would never make it bc she was too fat. Look at her now, she really worked on her talent and herself. Way to go Ms Hudson! ❤️
