Published 2023-06-23

Only Time Team and Sir Tony Robinson could open a programme with ' Welcome to a ditch In Cambridge '. Marvellous !! ❀
  • After watching many of time teams programs I've often wondered; Has Tony ever dropped and broken some priceless Roman artifact?

  • The episode opens with the cheese press, which drew me in right away after making a mediocre paneer just the other day, and closed with a 'cheesy' pun. Oh, I love this show!
  • I discovered time team and then realised they are the real treasure. The relics are just a bonus.

My love of blue cheese was the first thing that made my family think I was a strange child.
  • Do the farmers receive any thing in return for having their fields of crops dug up?😊

  • It's a shame you don't have more time. 3 days seems to me to be a very hard deadline
  • Anyone besides me remember a poem/song entitled "The Bitter Withy"? It's been years since I've heard the word "withy" used!!

So I've watched quite a few episodes of this show now (super addictive btw!) And I have 2 questions. 1) do they really just call it quits after like 8-9 hours of work everyday? 2) do they truly only spend 3 days at these sites? Hell I get excited bout some of the stuff they've found, I'd have one hell of a time walking away after just 3 days if I was at one of these digs. They gotta keep going after they finish filming for the show right?
