Northern California's Park Fire, the largest burning fire in the country, remains 34% contained as firefighters continue to deal with hot and dry weather conditions. According to Cal Fire on Wednesday, the Park Fire is now 425,724 acres.

I think this fire is headed in the direction of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Please let there be a miracle that the fires don’t get it.

Why in the hell doesn't a homeowner who had his house burn down sue the gov? Maybe a class action suit. It's s the only way to get a few squadrons of firefighting aircraft. Train military pilots.

Fighting forest fires often results in a Sisyphean task where efforts to suppress the flames inadvertently contribute to future problems. When fires are extinguished, dead trees and accumulated underbrush are left behind, creating a dense fuel load that can easily ignite in subsequent years. This buildup of flammable material, combined with the intensifying effects of climate change—such as prolonged droughts, higher temperatures, and unpredictable weather patterns—sets the stage for even larger and more intense fires. This cyclical nature of fire suppression and increased fuel load, exacerbated by climate change, highlights the futility of merely fighting fires without addressing the underlying causes and implementing comprehensive forest management strategies.
