My endoscopy experience: easy as the pies that I miss eating

I had my first Endoscopy yesterday. I too was very anxious about it but it actually ended up being a pleasant experience. The prep nurses and the doctor were extremely professional and friendly, so friendly that I ended up exchanging phone numbers with them. The procedure took only 15 minutes but the prep time plus the recovery time adds to the total time. They gave me conscious sedation and rolled me on the side, put a plastic contraption in my mouth with a hole for inserting the scope. After that, I just remember waking up in the recovery room. It seems worse than it really is. No need to be afraid.

I can’t believe they didn’t even tell you whether or not they’re doing biopsies! Way to make someone sweat it out.
