Win4Icom Digital Setup

Published 2021-01-28
I wanted to try my hand at doing a tutorial of sorts. In this video, I walk through how I have my station setup for digital modes using Win4Icom, a fantastic third-party remote control app for Icom radios. One mouse-click starts up all of my digital mode applications so I can hit the ground running. It just takes a bit of work to share the C-IV data. This will work for other applications and digital modes that use a similar setup. I hope you find this helpful!

It’s a bit much for me. I like the idea of it logging my contacts though. I’ve managed to get my kx2 and old laptop to do ft8 several times. But it took awhile. Haven’t done it for about a year so it’s back to the drawing board. Hihi. I have gotten the kx2 to work rtty and psk31 from the elecraft app which is basic but easy. Interesting walk through! 73’s de n5vwn

I'm not a Windows guy or an ICOM owner, but this was a great walkthrough!

One comment. You will only get the spectrum from the radio if you use a baud rate of 115200. Best to run at that baud rate.
