Hunting Island State Park - What to Know Before You Go!

Published 2023-08-20
Join us this week as we hitch up the Airstream and hit the road to explore the South Carolina Lowcountry and visit Hunting Island State Park. We share with you everything you need to know before you go (good and bad). Hunting Island is South Carolina’s single most popular state park, attracting more than a million visitors a year, as well as a vast array of land and marine wildlife. With five miles of pristine beaches, thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and ocean inlet are all part of the park’s natural allure. Hunting Island is home to the historic Hunting Island lighthouse and the famous Boneyard Beach. Nice way for Debbie and I to end a weekend of camping! Watching your video! Keep them coming.

Ok, I'm a new subscriber. What a great video. I've only taken my camper to the beach 1 time and said never again. This video has changed my mind. I'm going to start making some plans. I'm on my 4th time watching this video today. 😅😅 Can't wait to check out your other videos. Stay safe, and God bless and protect you always 🙏

That was a wonderful video! From Lisa's voiceovers to the B Roll, music, and transitions - it was awesome. Of course, a backdrop of the Carolina Low Country does not hurt. Breakfast on the beach? Perfect. We will await your review of She Crab Soup and Shrimp & Grits...

Great video guys! I learned a lot about that a area.
  • I’m an avid shell collector myself! 😜 Jars and jars full of shells decorate my bathroom. 😍💖🐚💕 The star trails time lapse was amazing!! Great job!! 💫

Nice video... Most of us inlanders forget how hot the beach can be in August.... Yes March would be awesome. Great info for my east coast trip coming up.

Such a pretty park. Last time we visited deer were prolific. You’ll have to come on down to Venice Beach, Fl for shark teeth.
  • SO GREAT TO MEET YOU GUYS! Keep up the awesome work and hopefully Lisa will eventually find that shark tooth!🦈🤣

Don't apend a ton of money on beach chairs, they don't hold up with the salt. Thank you both for your service to our country. October is our preferred SC beach time, the ocean is still warm.

Where’d you go for dinner? Hope you checked out Johnson Creek Tavern, great seafood an so so close to the park.

This is such a beautiful place, but you probably picked the worst month of the year to visit. The heat and humidity is brutal in July and August.
