How to Always Beat Spot: The Video Game (NES)

This only works for the default board (obviously) I haven't much played on the other ones, may get to a video on those. I have found very little information about this game online regarding strategies, but here's a strategy that works every single time. What I did was go to the side from each starting point, leaving no less than 2 spaces between me and the computer player. Then, when he inevitably makes a 2-space jump, I just move my closest yellow piece up diagonally 1 space. Rinse and repeat. (IMPORTANT: Make sure you have more than 1 circle when this happens. Seems obvious, but if he overtakes one of your corners, the whole thing is ruined). When he starts going down from the corner, just move over to him from the side and don't leave an opportunity for him to jump to you. What I mean is, as SOON as you are close enough to jump over, do it. If he has 3 or less circles and you can cover them all, congratulations, he has no more circles left. The computer player will always do the same thing at the start on this board as long as you set it up the same every time. Remember, move to the side in a straight line and leave no less than 2 spaces between you. Let him jump over to you. He will do the same thing over and over until he has none left.
