Hear that Disney? NO PARENT HAD TO DIE
-
Me the whole time: "Don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cry"
-
I find it highly shocking that this book is banned from some schools, Hair Love is so sweet and so wonderful in it’s messaging of a father taking care of his daughter.
-
It is so cool to finally see the mother be darker than the father. The mother is usually always lighter so this is so beautiful. I love this short so much.
-
Who’s here after they just won the Oscar. This short film is so sweet it brought tears to my eyes ❤️
-
sees picture Her Mama is still a queen without her hair. 😭😭😭
-
As a survivor and a mom of a young daughter, thank you 🥺❤️
-
Dad learns how important hair is to people and how to have patience to style his daughter’s properly, Mom gains the confidence to rock the bald look like the warrior queen she is, and let’s not forget how absolutely precious the little girl is throughout the entire thing.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO ACCIDENTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE DAD
-
the second that little princess showed her mom her picture, I lost it.

I think no matter a person's skin tone or cultural background, ALL FATHERS are terrified to do their daughter's hair. This video has layers of sweetness and emotion, but to see the dad trying (and struggling!) but getting there in the end is brilliant. And the fact that he is continuing to do her hair during the credits and wasnt just a 'stand-in' while his wife was sick is a gorgeous detail. This film totally deserved it's Oscar 💖

5:34 I am moved by this scene 🥲 From the daughter's face and intentions, it is clear what she wanted to tell her mother from the ❤: "I love you mom, no matter what you look like now, whether you have hair or not, you will always remain the most beautiful to me.🥰" I LOVE THIS SCENE
-
the fight scene is literally me against my never ending knots
-
This is beautiful.... I wish more stories like these existed for little black girls
-
I’m as white as a sheet of paper but I love this. I understand that people of color have struggles with their hair and that is hard to find good representation so I loved this.
-
Is someone cutting onions? At the beginning, I thought her mom had died.
-
Sony beating Disney they didn't kill the mom they ALMOST killed her
-
How can anyone dislike this, fr? It's beautiful! I had a family member go bald because of cancer, the part on the hospital made me cry, the message is so beautiful
-
Finally, dads are getting the love they deserve
-
You can tell he's a dad cause he got them socks with sandals.
