  • This is how you DJ. No lap tops or computers. Just a couple of decks and a mixer. Just brilliant! Much respect.

Ive been in the soul scene since 78. Loved Chris Hill, Steve Walsh, Froggy, Robbie Vincent abd Tongy amongst others but DJ Destruction is up there with the bestof them. Respect.

Let me tell you a little secret: a good DJ is the one who selects the RIGHT music for the set. Therefore, there is a lot of respect for this person in the video

I try to explain what it was like in the 80s-90s to young people and they can't comprehend. The music, clubs, fashion etc...

    Dope.

Back to an era where music was music.
  • @dealt
Everyone thinks of the 70s when they hear the word 'Disco'. I would argue the 80s were when dance music really came alive.
  • You got the Headhunters and Wyldstyle album covers in the background
  • Love this set, no showing off, just brilliant restrained presentation -- Destruction, you are an elegant DJ!
  • @peachypaul64
What is it that makes DJ Destruction a super cool dude? Well, yes, it's the shades, the retro t-shirt and his technique on the wheels of steel, but what takes his set to a new level is his superlative taste in tunes. Magic music from a golden era. Every tune a winner. The dance music of today just can't hold a candle to these old skool anthems.
  • This is just a glorious trip down memory lane! Loads of Teena Marie (RIP) too. There are not enough superlatives to describe this. Good good work Sir and thank you sooooo much!
  • @nakul1966
Those were the days of listening to pirate radio to those tunes first before mainstream.
  • @johnn8117
