Love this series. Used to play this game for hours in school and seeing someone else play it is just as fun.

1. You can buy extra HUD elements in customization menu, especially useful are: wind indicator, drag indicator and distance meter (for classic mode). 2. Drag increase really fast when you fly faster than body max speed, wasting your power 3. Fins are useful because they increase max speed, reduce drag ect. Try compare same body/launcher/stage setup, but: 4x boost and 3x boost & fins 4. Stages and launchers have max lift parameters. So it's good to mix heavy and powerful ones at start with light and efficient at end

you can use the boosts one at a time by pressing 1,2,3,4 etc. each number corrosponds to a boost. for example you can press 2 and 4 to only use boost 2 and 4 at the same time edit: also you should customise your UI! there's a distance meter you can add

I absolutely love this game and would love to see more! A little hint is that top speed is important and single use very fast bursts are better mostly then long timed thrusts

You were wondering what way you should point the penguin mod flight to go the farthest. Without air resistance, 45 degrees is the ideal way to point. The equation for range (without any boosts) is R=vi/g*sin(2theta). With air resistance, the ideal angle is probably somewhere a little below that.

The best way to start is using the little propellers, they start to suck after max level so dont upgrade them past that. Also the superhero body is great when you get it, and el fuego paired with sonic bursts is the best way to go fast and far for the price. The crate body is good early on for the propellers too.
