You haven't been hoodwinked, you've been Glam Rocked!
  • In my opinion one of the best bands from that era. We'll never see anything like them again.
  • One of those songs you shouldn't try too hard to analyze. Just turn it up until the speakers shake the room. S'all good.
  • @annefischer9134
It was glam rock in the 70's. They are legends. I love them and their songs. Check out all their songs. They were very very very good
  • Hahaha! 😉🤣 'The Sweet' was a 'glam-rock' group from the early mid-seveties. 'Glam-rock' was quite a major pop/rock style in clothes and music, in the UK, Europe and Australasia back then, where men in such pop- and rock-groups sometimes dressed to look androgenous; thus the hair and outfits (two key examples who wore the glam-rock style back then was David Bowie and Queen 🎶✨👍). ABBA also sported this glam-rock look for a time around 1973 and 1974 before they went for their pop-style. Some of the styling also made its way into the mid/late 70s disco (particularly, again, UK, Europe and Australasia). Thanks for a great reaction and review. Cheers from Oz 👋😃🐨🦘🦜✨👍

Fox on the Run, Little Willie, Love is Like Oxygen...

Incredibly underrated rock band. All very talented individuals. Oh, and Sweet were part of the 70’s Glam rock movement in the UK that also spawned David Bowie, Slade, Marc Bolan, amongst others, which then influenced the Glam Metal scene in the USA in the 80’s. Morley Crue credited Sweet as a huge influence on them. Tommy Lee in particular copying Mick Tuckers drumming skills.....look at the drumstick twirls!!!!

Best reaction ever!!! Loved everything about this! Love Sweet✌️❣️🇦🇺
  • @sandyleewhite
Awww, how I miss the Glam Rock era !!! Guys that could wear more makeup & flashier clothes than the girls, & still look sexy as hell 🤣🤣🤣 Great reaction!!!
  • @kimethaz7497
Thank you!!! From "I thought this was women" to "getting to the meat of the situation" to "I didn't see that" "that riff is nasty" I've never enjoyed your reaction(s) more than Sweet's musical response to being driven off stage by a bottling ... (In USA, it would have been tomatoes) Thank you so much for the best laugh I've had in many a moon!!!
  • What a ripper song. I was 13 when this was released and I still love just as much. 👏🏻
  • @nikkid2013
This is a great reaction! Thank you! Sweet were a huge part of the early 70s glam rock movement hence the feminine ‘look’ with outlandish outfits and make up. But in reality they were a brilliant, talented and tight rock band who were under estimated massively. Especially in this country (UK). Just finished reading the bass player Stevie Priests book again and they really lived the rock and roll life

When British guys in the 70's wore makeup but still looked like truckers ..fabulous..lol
  • @777petew
The Sweet were Glam-Rock. They dressed as such. Some people thought they were gay, but no way they were. They were great fun as a teenager in the 1970s in the UK. Just enjoyment. I'm 14 again when I hear this. Thank you.

A fellow Patriot fan . This was 70s British Glam Rock at it's best . It didn't last very long , maybe till 1977 or there abouts when Punk Rock started . But in it's day Glam Rock was outthere , groups weren't afraid to wear whatever the hell they wanted . Good to see you react to something totally out of your comfort zone . It's a rabbit hole with endless possibilties .
  • One of the best 70ies bands, take a look at the drummer, he's playing with the drum sticks during the whole song. Try their Sweet Fanny Adams next
  • Their harmonies were always pretty interesting. If you can find any truly live videos of them, they were able to reproduce them on stage. They could get the job done.
  • the British glam rock era '71 - '74-ish. you had to be there to get it. i was there.
