Hello! Today we're in the Ottawa neighbourhood of the Glebe, Ontario alongside the Rideau Canal, up Bank St shopping district, through the Lansdowne Entertainment area and into the Glebe suburbs. We're on a Fall walking tour, seeing the leafy residences and enjoying the weekend city ambience.

Today is a sunny beautiful warm autumn day in late September - it turns to overcast about halfway through the walk. The Glebe is a picturesque and colourful area, well known in Ottawa as a leafy and enjoyable place for a walk. It boasts beautiful homes and churches with 19th century Canadian architecture, pretty quiet parks and is bordered by the Rideau Canal and Patterson Creek. The Bank St strip here has many fun shops to see and is very vibrant and active.

Along the way we'll check out some of the landmarks and I'll add some anecdotes on some of the history of the area and places we'll pass to keep things interesting.

I hope you find the walk informative, fun, relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for joining me today exploring the fun and pretty Glebe neighbourhood of Ottawa.

Please like the video if you enjoy the content and feel like doing so. I'll be uploading regular ambient walking content and hope to get some great footage of the upcoming changing colours in the national park and capital area as we head into deep fall.

Thank you!

  • An enjoyable, atmospheric walk. Makes me want to go to Ottowa. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber ❤❤❤
  • I grew up in Ottawa but moved to the States in 1967..it would have been nice if you had showed the street signs or indicated where you were walking. Would have made it more enjoyable. So much has changed since I left.
