Almost 26 years Scotland had to wait to qualify for a major tournament. But the time has come. Scotland qualified for EURO 2024. It's the first time since 1998 and Scotland qualified in an incredible way. With two more games to play, Scotland is already qualified. In a group with Spain, Haaland's Norway, Cyprus and Georgia, it was not an easy job to qualify. In 6 games Scotland only conceded 3 goals and scored many more. They played well with Manchester United's Scott McTominay as leader and topscorer upfront.

As a german, i was very happy to see that Scotland made it and to know that we play the opening game against them in Munich, is just the greatest thing. Really looking forward to next summer.

After today's sad news I hoping the opener of the Euros, Germany vs Scotland, starts with a minute's silence for Franz Beckenbauer. I remember watching him playing for Bayern Munich at Hampden winning their third European Cup in a row, controlling the whole game, and he never even broke sweat. Legend.
