Lyrics:
Wildflowers
Wild Horses

In the middle of the night
I hear a corn field coyote cry
Up at the moon no matter what
Sky I’m laying under
In the eye of a hurricane
When I got one foot in the grave
I’ll dig my boots into the dirt
And face the rolling thunder

I’m five generations
Of blazing a trail
Through barbed wire valleys and overgrown dells
I’m barefoot and bareback and born tough as nails
Ohhh ohhh ohhhh
I’m four fifths of reckless
And one fifth of jack
I push like a daisy through old sidewalk cracks
Yea my kinda crazy’s still running it’s courses
With wildflowers and wild horses

It’s in the water in my veins
That bread of heaven falls like rain
So I’m taken care of either way
Make something out of how I’m made
Until I hitch a ride on glory’s train

I’m five generations
Of blazing a trail
Through barbed wire valleys and overgrown dells
I’m barefoot and bareback and born tough as nails
Ohhh ohhh ohhhh
I’m four fifths of reckless
And one fifth of jack
I push like a daisy through old sidewalk cracks
Yea my kinda crazy’s still running it’s courses
With wildflowers and wild horses

I’m five generations
Of blazing a trail
Through barbed wire valleys and overgrown dells
I’m barefoot and bareback and born tough as nails
Ohhh ohhh ohhhh
I’m four fifths of reckless
And one fifth of jack
I push like a daisy through old sidewalk cracks
Yea my kinda crazy’s still running it’s courses
With wildflowers and wild horses

Yea my kinda crazy’s still running its courses
With wildflowers and wild horses
Wildflowers and wild horses

This song tells me that I'm strong when I feel like I'm not. Thank you, sister. ♡
  • Im 60! You have brought me so much joy in your music and style. Raised country. Still Country. Bell Bottoms and all! Before most knew your name, my son sent this video in family group and I quote! “If Mom was a country music star, she would sound and look just like this!” Country and Bell Bottom Kool! Im a volunteer at RODEO HOUSTON! I took off to enjoy your concert. Cried through the entire show. Emotional like an Elvis Concert! True originality moves people! I went back to school last year to be a holistic practitioner. Been in a funk and brain stuck for two months. You said something that moved my soul at 60! I came back to RV and finished my semester making 100 on all tests. THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL! This world needs MORE “LADIES” like you! Stay real and stay true! A big old fan!!! 🥰

The way she sings “veins”. She is absolutely beautiful.

This song feels like breaking away from the generational trauma and pressure that our family puts on us to be what they want. Xx

My fav Lainey song finally has a visual masterpiece to match it. Stay wild girls.
  • Finally a girl that acts country, looks country, and can actually ride a horse
  • I haven't listened to country in years. I heard this while switching through radio stations tonight and had to look it up. It's awesome and so refreshing!
  • The “Mustang” will always remain the untamed “Wild West Legend” will always run freely 👌

Obsessed!! Country needed a strong female cowgirl!!! ❤
  • Holy wow, what stunning cinematography!!! Those landscapes, that voice...perfection! 🐎🏜🎶👏🥰
  • The cinematography is INCREDIBLE! Also legit what every cowgirl dreams- just girl and her horse running through the desert.
  • First 40 seconds and it feels like I’ve seen a whole movie. Incredible

This song gives me chills. Her vocals, the erieness. Its a masterpiece.
  • I grew up picking wild flowers for my mom and later my wife.i helped build about 30 miles of barbed wire fence. Stacked 10’s of thousands of small bales and thousands of big round bales. Rode 2 geldings from my mare and neighbors Arabian stallion in the steep canyons of the Grande Ronde river. I packed out deer elk bear salt and even my border collie up to a water trough and cooled her down. Oh the views I enjoyed from the saddle, the farm tractors and the semi’s on the farm and later over the road. I rode up behind my mare onetime and she kicked me in the arm, guess she thought she was a wild horse( her weaned colts were nearby). During calving, I kept my older colt saddled up, I went to the barn in a hurry, tightened up the cinches, left the barn in a gallop, next thing I knew, I was bucked off. The bottom strap between the 2 cinches had been broken so it slid too far back .guess my horse was teaching me a good lesson. I lost my wife to cancer after 46 years of marriage.Still driving semi’s( 10 axle 129k 115 ft hauling sugar beets about 5 months a year) my family started ranching in 1880. Your video brings back good memories of ranching and family!
  • Today's country music needs Lainey Wilson !!!!🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
