Marshall Tucker Band combined rock, country, blues and jazz. One of a kind. Their use of the flute was great.

This is the short, radio version. Gotta listen to the long version!

Don't apologize. Spend time with your children while they're young.

A friend of mine since childhood, played the flute for Marshall Tucker band. He was an original member of Firefall. His Name was David Muse. He passed away but his flute resonates in many hearts.

Marshall Tucker are definitely a southern rock band to me this is their best song of them all. I just love them myself.

Man, back in the 70's, after hearing that flute solo on the radio, it would be stuck in your all day. Such a beautiful melody to whistle to.

Fun fact. Well into adulthood, I heard the chorus as, "Purtty little looovee song!" As I got older, I knew that couldn't be right. I also became aware of a song by TMTB called, "Heard It In a Love Song". Still did not put two and two together. It wasn't until I was watching a 70s classic rock cover band that I finally heard the chorus properly. The people I was with, including my wife, stared at me, dumbfounded, as I excitedly noted that THIS was Heard It In a Love Song! That's what they say in the chorus!! To them I was saying something patently obvious, "Hey!! We're watching a 70's classic rock cover band!!!" Yeah, no sh##. That wasn't the first time that had happened....

I had forgotten how much I like this song. Thanks for reviewing it!
  • One of the greatest from my childhood. Although at that young age, I used to think they sang “Purty Little Love Song” lol
  • @trixie898989
The sign of a great song is when you can still remember all of the lyrics decades later. And I can still remember my 8-track tape cutting some their songs in half. Seemed like FOREVER until the song clicked over 😂🥰
