A speech of a lifetime and life itself comedically written and presented by Valedictorian Carl Aquino, a 2010 graduate from West Hall High School. He humorously relates the four years of high school to a rubix cube with some music in the background.

I can confirm, after 8 years this speech hasn't changed my life.
  • He was so damn nervous. Mouth was dry, palms were sweaty. But he did it.
  • Notice how his speech gradually gets less stuttery as time goes on? That represents his confidence throughout the years as well. Nice touch!

As a cuber, I really appreciate how each he really properly fit the steps of CFOP to the years: the way he described every year was so fitting to how the CFOP stage he was doing feels
  • I cant imagine being a teacher and being with unending adolescents going through their lives. The students are all full of themselves and self importance. Watching them over and over and knowing that they are heading where everyone heads...into real life...must be hard to do.
  • It was giving me anxiety because he had that string behind his ear the whole time

Imagine being funny and composed while solving a rubix cube, that kind of anxiety hits different.
  • I show this speech to my students each year ad they write a journal reflection on it. I would love to hear more about his story and where he is 10 years later. My students ask me all the time.
  • Congrats, Carl Aquino! Although this happened 13 years ago, still we're so happy and proud of you! Love your speech! 😍

  • I've invested heavily during the pandemic and earned considerable passive income. I'm pursuing a dividend and growth hybrid strategy, which I believe is smart. Credit goes to my advisor Zach Micah Demers.
