Munchlax was also revealed in mystery dungeon red rescue team, it has a chance of appearing in the pokemon square and gives you an item if you feed it
-
I would argue that Alolan Exegitor should be included since that is technically a gen 7 pokemon, and it was revealed 20 years prior to sun and moon back in 97 on the box art for for the Jungle Boosters of the tcg.
-
Damn, no mention about how Meltan was revealed on Pokemon Go as "???", when several Ditto were transforming into it? That day was hype! xD
-
22:53 no way thats Drednaw, its more than likely an early concept for Tirtouga. Similar head shapes especially
-
The Gameboy Camera was actually the first video game released in America that had Pokémon in it. Pikachu, Meowth, Mew, and the starters were all included as stickers to place on your pictures.
-
Slowking is the 2nd Pokemon to speak english? Just casually forgetting the Ghastly in the Episode: Ghost of Maiden's Peak.
-
I believe Puka, the psychic Pikachu deserves an honorable mention for inspiring Alolan Raichu
-
Munchlax appeared everywhere, yet on Gen 4 it was extremely rare to find with 1% rate on honey trees
-
I think the Turtle from the manga looked more like the gen 5 pokemon Tirtouga than Drednaw. Drednaw’s design is more sharp and Tirtouga and that turtle looking pokemon had the same kind of shell on their back
-
“And we see at the end of the movie it kisses Ash on the lips” Latias: clearly kisses cheek Me: lol

It's so awesome seeing later-gen pokemon hinted at in some of the earliest moments. The Munna reference in gen 1. The Tyranitar poster with Drednaw (though I'm on the side that it feels more resembling the Carracosta family). It's just neat to think about whether they actually had this planned all along, or if they went back, saw it, and said "Let's build off of this-"
-
I'm pretty sure Venusaur, Blastoise and Charizard were revealed on the Gameboy Camera, before the western release of Pokemon Red and Blue... But I might be wrong. Great video, keep it up.
-
I really like how they added Weavile and Lucario in the Advanced Battle opening after they were released
-
If he counted that Tyranitar, he should've also showed that Tirtouga was revealed alongside Tyranitar
-
His voice reminds me of Rick Sanchez, so I am just picturing Rick being super excited and explaining all these pokemon reveals to Morty lmfaooo

The nostalgia of season 1, my God, I was barely older than a toddler. Also props to the Pokemon team for being willing to reveal something one time, and then making people either figure out the answer in a way off of that particular episode, or waiting to reveal what something like Ho-Oh was like seasons later. Nowadays you need to milk speculation.
-
Munchlax is such a weird one for me since I still think of it as a Gen 3 Hoenn pokemon.
-
How gen 2 had special reveals in gen 1 was the best way to introduce new Pokemon IMO so nostalgic and made me want to know more so much more I wish Nintendo would bring back that sense of mystery and charm like it did in the late 90s
-
8:15 wow. I never knew that Lugia was originally a pokemon meant to not be a obtainable pokemon. This is some crazy info

@15:38 You can actually battle with Bonsly in Gale of Darkness. This is exclusive to the Pokemon Bingo. It only has Rock Slide, but it's something.
