  • Hi Rebecca, in 2005 as I was living in Miami we were supposed to get a cat 1 hurricane "Wilma", but surprise, surprise, we ended up having a major cat 3 hurricane shooting 137 miles per hour winds on top of us in the middle ot he night. It was the only hurricane which I witnessed in 21 years that entered mainland southern Florida from the gulf coast side. I am not a meteorolgist, but all I can say is watch out with those babies that enter mainland from the gulf coast, it was catastrophic for us, to say the least. My best regards to you dear.
