E-Bike Fork Dropout Fix - Over Torque

The torque from this hub motor was too much for the fork dropout and caused the dropout to spread. Here is my attempt for an initial fix.

  • It's not only the axle work that's bending the dropouts, but the sheer force of the axle pulling the bike and rider forward. Dropouts are not built for that

    Thank you very much for your nice demonstration! What is the tool for restoring the opening dropout? Very grateful if you can post a URL for it or the similar tool.

    I would think that the torque arms should be fastened in the front to force the axel up into the axel notch put the strain on the top of the notch and not against the the front of the notch

    Why didn't you show how u bent the dropouts back into their original positions,??

    Just seen this doesn't look great, I dont know what bike this is but I think better thick forks and a healthy portion of locktite on the nuts is the best solution cause they really are a fail safe more than anything unfortunately, sold I think because the factory's know this happens, anyway good luck
