#1 Ranked Winter Travel Destination- Lapland, Finland

Published 2024-04-13
Lapland is the best winter travel destination in the world for good reason. There is so much to do here, and it has a magical feeling to it. Santa's village brings back all of the best childhood memories, the icebreaker ship is thrilling, and sleeping in an Ice Hotel is a one of a kind experience.

I need to move to Finland. My ancestors are from there. This year again, seven years in a row rank the happiest people in the world. It’s number one in education. And number one in healthcare. And in the top 10 of less crime out of any countries.

  • No gloves in that temperature. We use leather/goretex mittens with fur inside.

You are dressed warmly, but the child goes without a hat? Otherwise you passed the test to be Finn🇫🇮
  • I slep in an ice hotel in Quebec about 20 years ago. Was pretty much like what you experienced. Not sure if we had better sleeping bags but didn't get cold at all. I actually slep so well that I woke up late arround 9:00 am and there was some visitors touring the hotel and they were looking inside my room while I was still in the bed! I missed the breakfast.
  • My relatives came from Sweden and I love lingo berry. I probably didn't spell that right but you know what I mean. Swedes are also big on rhubarb.

We have lingonberries here in Newfoundland, Canada, we call them partridge berries. We also have cloudberries but call them bake apples.
