  • @bobthenob.
We've come full circle and now we have bots hunting bots
  • I play a F2P only account right now, and I can confirm that the Kit bots are EVERYWHERE. I hop worlds consistently, and am all over the place for clues and such, and they're in every world in every area pretty much scooping up every resource. It's wild
  • i started to lose it at the bot hunting bot lmfaoooooo this game is a god damn circus
  • @ltsgobrando
Hey so I'm currently playing a f2p locked ironman and I can say with confidence you missed LOADS of bots... I would feel comfortable with a full 60%. I know it sounds crazy but trust me, the truth is the truth. Getting crashed at ogresses by bots is a constant struggle. Every world is packed. There's a continuous flow of noob accounts- bot and paid for. You forgot about mining bots using their critical to tp to the clay ore. What about the store bots? You go to the food shop in port sarim and in every f2p world it will be sold out of anything profitable. Every sapphire from the gem shops, anything worth "something" will be gone. Even the steel plate body spawn and chaos runes will be slim pickings. That's just to name a few... Like it's BAD homie

I love how one guy got so sick of them in the caves that he set up his own bot to pk the bots lmao.
  • I thought revenanats originally were made to kill bots i remember they use to roam the wilderness and where super challenging. There were like 4 spots that some spamwed where bots where frequently like the gree dragons, spiders, fishing spot and the church spot.

I wonder what the economic impact would be if bots were completely removed from the game and not allowed to return. I believe this would cause some insane price increases for basic resources and in turn make people more inclined to skill for their resources or do high level pvm to make money. It's interesting how bots affect the core parts of this game that make it work in it's current state. Would be fascinating to see an alternate timeline version of Runescape that never had bots and see how that game operates and is played.
  • It should be noted that the “450k per hour” on the wiki from smithing cannonballs assumes you are using the double ammo mould, which bots are almost certainly NOT using, so it’s more like 225k per hour for them.

Found a bit of a bot farm on rs3 f2p worlds, haven't done much research but they go to the chaos altar in wilderness on f2p worlds because there is a banker and nobody goes there, can't use altar on f2p. The bots seem to be drop trading rune salvage which has extremely high buy limits on rs3 so it's a good way to transfer money from account to account
  • @Soylent2024
Plot twist: Jagex makes 99% of bots to keep population up
  • @CruelUnknown
Kinda funny how this update made it worse for actually players, but good for bot hunters
  • @TheRealManism
Doesn't this also mean actual players are gonna get pked because of that update?
  • @rebelos6607
saw a few kit bots in varrock cutting oak trees yesterday. all lvl 4 had around 57 woodcutting when i checked.
  • @rogan6947
A lot of the bots outside of Draynor you right-clicked also had kit in their names.
  • @SmoothFall
been binge watching your videos. fantastic content, lots of math and thought behind every point and video. 12/10. should be more than 328k <3
  • @ThePCguy17
Those 'kit' bots were definitely created by a fan of the Warriors books, which are about a society of cats living outside of human civilization. They're massively popular with middle schoolers, or at least they were 10 years ago. Just long enough ago that a good botter would have been reading them during the boomtimes.
  • @Freakyros
I've been playing a f2p only ironman for about 2 years now and I can guarantee you that at least half of the F2P players are bots.
  • @jaymay7957
Osrs community is really only like 5k ppl, some play 200 accounts on mobile phones others have a handful and the rest are bots
