We bought this Mechanically Totaled Porsche Panamera S for Scrap Value, and took it straight to the dealer because it was under a Recall that might just cover it's major engine issue, and make it worth several times what we paid...

The only thing I fear more than the dealership is public wifi with out a VPN. Get 4 months extra on a 2 year plan here: nordvpn.com/samcrac. It’s risk free with Nord’s 30 day money-back guarantee!

That Porsche dealership should be ashamed of their self.

lol I like how the dealer gave you a bunch of stuff to replace except for the part of the car that's actually broken... imagine someone getting all those repairs done that they recommended and then having the engine blow up few miles later.

I like how you solved the fuel pressure issue by starting with the easiest thing, removing the intake manifold and then worked your way up to the most sophisticated action of pouring in a gallon of gas.

I must say I watched the full 46 minute video and not one minute of it was boring. My eyes and ears were fixed to everything being said, all parts being observed, tested and removed. Very interesting. Boy, I sure do wish there would be mechanics like you guys in our area. You are wise, intelligent and with a whole lot of common sense. That is what you call integrity! I have subscribed.

It's cool how you casually do a timing job for a dual cam V8 on the grass under a tree. Awesome video!

Timing tensioner system completely destroyed on a car with almost 200k. Porsche dealer: You need a $2500 spark plug job. 😐

Hearing the motor run as smooth as it did was super satisfying

180K miles thats crazy, the car looks super good for that mileage. And not to mention still running! Must be a good power plant.

Watching Samcrac fixing a Panamera in a farm while outsmarting a dealership is like watching David vs. Goliath in modern times. 😂

Hopefully the "mechanic" from Porsche watches this to learn how to diagnose and work on cars

I lost confidence in dealers years ago. The last great dealer I knew was Vista Lexus in Woodland Hills calif. it was family owned with a fabulous service team . They ultimately sold to a Chinese buyer who treated the staff like crap, many of whom left. Almost all dealers are just parts replacers and really don’t want to work on complex problems. After much research I found a great independent mechanic. Mercifully he’s young and will be around.

You seem like the only YouTuber to stick with your original format.. no big HQ purchases and all these over the top antics that others feel like they need to do because they are more "successful." Keep things the way they are, it's what got you this far, and keeps people coming back! 👍🏻

This got me interested in the Panamera in general. Looks like someone took all the normal German engineering cues, but forgot to make everything hard to get to and bizarrely placed.
  • @sixdollar4117
Well done video & repair diagnosis! It was very satisfying to watch.

You gotta hand it to Samcrac, he knows how to make an entertaining video. I'm not even interested in Porsche cars or maintenance but I'm hooked from the get go.
  • @NLSNMedia
From the salvage yard straight to the dealership is insane LOL
  • @jonjonr6
"Samcrac was able to fix it, in a pasture, with cows!" -Obediah Stain complaining to the dealership about his broken Panamera.
  • Wouldn't it be reasonable to have mechanic and service manager expose them to the error of there bad diagnostic and repair suggestions especially at $300 hr.
