I am very scared to upload this but I just wanted to be vulnerable and open with you guys about what's been going on and where I've been. I think its super important to talk about these experiences not only to bring comfort to other people in similar situations, but also to remove the stigma around mental health/illness. Disclaimer I am in no way a psychiatrist or counsellor so please seek professional help if you're in a similar situation!

Why mental health should be any different from physical health is beyond me. We need to normalise caring for our mental health. Take care, Aaliyah, and take the space you need!

I CANT STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT VITAMIN D IS. we've all been at home, no sun. vitamin D deficiency has been linked to depression. ive read so many research papers. just try to take a walk outside in the morning sun everyday, i cant stresssss this enough!

Thank you for speaking about your experience. You never know what anyone is going through. Like none of your followers knew you were going through this and we only see the highpoints of your, and mostly everyone else's lives. This is why it is so important to be kind to everyone. Be kind people. Sending love to everyone.

I started getting panic attacks since july 2020. And even my first panic attack happened out of nowhere. Nothing triggered it, it just happened. And since then I've had multiple panic attacks daily for months. To this day, i don't feel normal. I live in a constant fear that i could stop breathing at any moment. My chest feels so tight all the time. And all this for no apparent reason. I get you Aaliyah. I get you. It's super hard.

Aaliyah im so sorry you had to go thru that. Thank you so much for sharing this. This past week has been the worst for me mental health wise. I have been away at uni abroad for 1.5 years away from home in India. Being away from home has affected me so badly. Literally all I did this week was just cry. Thank You so much for opening up <3

This video...THANKS, Aaliyah for making it. I really feel better when I get to know that there are people who feel the same as I do. There is so much stigma around mental health and therapy and I genuinely appreciate it when a YouTuber posts something about it. I hope your mental health is better and you stay healthy.

I'm so proud of you, that you're talking so openly about it. I hope you feel and get better. We are here for you💕
  • I'm so glad that you talked about it. You're so brave Aaliyah. We all are so proud of you. I would like to share that I had a similar phase in my life in half of 2018 and 2019. I couldn't properly, I didn't want to talk to anyone, had constant panic and anxiety attacks. It was hard and you're definitely not alone. Medication definitely helps and one more that's super powerful and helped me (still helps me) is doing Guided meditation. You can find hundreds of guided meditation on YouTube that help to sooth you. Sending a lot of love and strength your way girl. You have got this❤️
  • Not everyone understands the gravity of this kind of situation. I totally agree with you , it' is really painful and even more than that. Just take care and try to stay cheerful or happy 💕
