Also, as a bi woman, I like how Luz just crushes on everyone without discrimination. She just likes who she likes and I love it 🥰
  • “Lesbian Draco” cracked me up and it’s so accurate. My first thought when I saw her was “oh great. Tiny Draco”

as a wise owl tube once said, “they’re adorable, and deserve all the happiness!”

I love this ship, it's not toxic and it is literally how any relationship should be showed.

Let's be honest, Lumity is better written then most straight relationships let alone gay ones.

As someone who’s not really into shipping, I do really like this couple.

Luz and Amity respect each other. The most recent episode shows this; Amity knew Luz was lying about visiting her home realm and had what she needed to prove it to herself but instead of breaching her privacy she confronted Luz about it calmly, and instead of Luz getting defensive or overreacting and thinking Amity was attacking or accusing her she talked about it openly and apologized. They know how to communicate to each other, which is the problem a lot of relationships fall to and honestly it gets annoying. Lots of couples let their resentment over keeping secrets destroy the relationship and they never just talk anything through. Because these shows always have to have drama somehow, right? This is a great couple. Nobody can prove me otherwise because they will never have enough evidence to support it because it isn't there

The fact that Hooty was like "screw this im speed running these dorks into a relationship" is hilarious and amazing.

“A little all over the place, but her heart is in the right one.” I’m sorry, but I LOVE this quote
  • I got into watching The Owl House after seeing a scene of these two dancing while defeating a giant slime monster and it was so cool and they looked so cute together!

The tunnel of love scene shook my former bigoted self to the core. Before watching this show, I had no idea that being in love with someone of the same gender could be an option. I was taught, or at least it was heavily implied, by my church that being gay was a temptation by the devil to sin. That there was no real connection between those in an LGBTQ+ relationship. As they went through the tunnel of love, where Amity actually blushed at the thought of Luz calling her smart, cool, and classy, I knew some of the writers of the owl house must have felt that emotion. Then, to have Luz destroy the whole thing, I genuinely was scared for their relationship moving forward. Real emotions in a scene like that can only be achieved by writers who are writing g what they know. Lumity is a (you can correct me if I'm wrong) true and good representation of those in the LGBTQ+ community. My thanks goes out to Dana Terrace and the Owl crew from changing my point of view. We're all people who deserve love and happiness in this world.

honestly in the recent episode the fact amity didn’t invade luz’s privacy was amazing and set a rlly good example
  • In defense of the flaws of this show, Disney has not at all been agreeable with Dana Terrace or the show. The third and final season was cut to three 45 minute "movies" and I imagine with Disney supporting the "Don't Say Gay" bill I wouldn't be surprised if Dana Terrace slapped them with a big "fuck you" resignation when this is all over.

I don't know if straight people realize just how amazing two girls on screen crushing is for someone like me. It's not implied, it's not up for interpretation. After an entire life of watching and loving straight couples go on adventures and fall in love, seeing these cartoon girls doing the same thing is a release I didn't even know was building. Knowing that future kids will watch shows like this and see gay relationships as normal parts of life makes me cry, because I never had it. And just knowing that this is how far we've come is so overwhelmingly nice.

"my only weakness: dying" gets me every time
  • @Solqueen86
The fact this is the best presentable couple Disney has given us and yet Disney funds anti-LGBTQ things just waffles out my brain sometimes
  • @jordanstairs692
Lesbian Draco has to be the best summary of Amity out there, definitely A tier.

If it weren't for Lumity, I probably wouldn't've came out as bi to my dad when I did. Talking about The Owl House with him was what made him confirm to me that he doesn't have a problem with gay people despite literally everyone else in my family being homophobic. His wife and him has been really supportive and I'm really glad I came out to them.
