If I were a Rangers fan, being this close to a championship would haunt my soul forever
-
As a Mariners fan I think I’d much rather prefer our 20 year postseason drought than lose a WS this way..
-
The first time baseball broke my heart was when the Cardinals got screwed in the 1985 World Series. They lost in '87. Then they were swept in '04. They won in '06, but THIS was the greatest World Series I've ever seen. And after coming back to haunt the Brewers as the wildcard. Beautiful.

That was probably the best baseball game ever.
-
Watching Cruz's lackadaisical cruise back to try to make that catch, just awful. Freese definitely picked the best outfielder to go after.

"2011 WS Game 6 Nelson Cruz is Afraid of the Wall" Fixed it for ya.

40 years of watching baseball, especially the Expos, to me, this is the most incredible turn of events ever.
-
Watching this 10 yrs later and I STILL get goosebumps.
-
As a baseball fan, and with no favorite in the series, this Fall Classic was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Life long Cardinal fan. Got to watch them win it at home in '06. I will never, ever, forget this night. Slumped in the couch, feeling our chance slip away. Needless to say I was soon on the edge of the couch repeating the same phrase over and over... holy sh*t, holy sh*t.. Stunned, those were the only words I could get out. Hearing Buck make the call his father did, priceless.

Back when Elvis Andrus was a starting pitcher. Boy have times changed.
-
A major league outfielder should have caught that ball.
-
That game was pure magic still gives me goosebumps!! That team was pure magical!!
-
Freese was a damn 1 man wrecking ball that year in the post season. He crushed my Brewers hopes and dreams
-
baseball by far has the best postseason of any sport....
-
These two teams... so closely matched.
-
Doesn't matter what team you're a fan of, that 2011 Cardinals team was unbelievable. 9 1/2 games out of the Wild Card in August. Got into the post season. And twice were within one strike of losing in game 6.
-
In Nelson Cruz defense, that dude was unstoppable that year for the entire post season. He had like 7 homeruns and was batting like 400 for the postseason.
-
And if a teammate on the field or someone in the Texas dugout had been yelling at Nelson Cruz to be playing much further back - like he should have been - this wouldn't have gone down as the single most painful moment in the history of the Texas Rangers franchise.

Best Fall Classic in my lifetime.
