We're no longer hibernating or being depressed? Sigh...alright, dammit...I'm out of bed....for now....

I would like to see you talking about the growth factors and stem cells in skincare products because not all of them are created equal. They can come from different sources and I think it is confusing for people. It is kind of same situation like this video with “bio retinol”. Thanks for sharing!🙂
  • @Just-Paige
Saw you today at the Sephora on 5th and 19th. Didn’t say hello, but was taken about how kind you were to the staff and everyone who wanted to say hello to you. Good luck with the brand!

Whenever someone says my skin looks good, I tell them I have a dermatologist in new York (I'm in Europe, lol) So happy I found your channel a few years ago.

I would love a video on retinol and retinal recommendations based on trust in the company and formulation ( how much research / clinical trials were done and how controlled were those clinical trials). We have such an oversaturation of products in the beauty industry. How do we know which to pick for the best results when it comes to long-term use if you can't tolerate perscription strength. Thank you for your content. Love your channel!!
  • Got the VIP email and SUPER excited!!!! Congrats on your continued growth and success!
  • Not every thing new is great. i love dr.shereene because when she says something is bad she has a scientific evidence and she explains the mechanism of action of a skin ingredient perfectly not like some doctors tell you this is bad but how the hell is it scientifically ?
  • I’ve just been diagnosed with Blepharitis—I would love a video on at home care, products to use/avoid. Seems a very common condition. All my skincare/makeup is in the bin 😢 thank you!
  • Hey 😁 I am not a lawyer yet but I am in my last year of law school, the "bio-retinoid" although is trademarked by that specific company, it may have become a generic name if its widely used by consumers to refer to a type of product rather than the brand. Therefore, it might become challenging for the original trademark holder to enforce exclusivity. Or they may have a licensing agreements which the trademark owner might have an agreement with other companies... (this is not a legal advise ;) lol

hello to my favorite doctor out there !grettings from norway.

I don’t wanna blame anyone and I realize it’s more of a me problem, but tbh I have to admit, that by now words like “eco”, “bio”, “natural”, etc on the package of anything is suuuuuch a turn off for me that I won’t even care to check the ingredients (and potentially miss a dream product maybe). I generally never been a person who’s like “omg that’s natural so it must be good”, more like other way around, but by 2024 this bio-hysteria and cringe marketing went so far that now all these “natural” phrases are automatically a sign of deceit for me.

Thank you for covering this! I'm seeing more and more products with this bio-retinol thing, but without explanation what is it exactly. First I thought I was Bakuchiol, but no bakuchiol in those products
  • You have NO IDEA how much my skin has improved after I started following your advice! I am a 40 year old dietitian haha I live in Florida where we get so much sunshine!!!!! I used to wash my face with whatever soap I had in the shower, moisturize with whatever body lotion I had haha and never wore sunscreen on my face, only when I went to the beach. Now, I used my Cerave cleanser and moisturizer, 0.05 tretinoin, Cerave tinted sunscreen, vitamin C... even Amlactin on my body and wow the change has been amazing! Thank you for all you share!!! And also, YOU ARE SO PRETTY! haha
  • Good morning! I like watching your videos primarily to learn about various skin concerns, but I also really like hearing about the regulatory labyrinth of what companies are allowed to say about a particular thing. I sometimes work on recipe and food product development as part of my job and its very interesting to see the parallels between the two industries, and how much of the burden of research and testing is tied not to the properties of the ingredients themselves, but just to what kinds of CLAIMS you want to make about them. Wild stuff! Anyway thanks for another great video.

I m french and here the "bio" word is used to qualify organic products (no pesticides). In France Bacchuciol is not marketed as a bio retinol. But a vegetal alternative to retinol. There is no confusion here.
  • As a legit nerd , I see your sink in the background sparkling, if you know what I mean 😍😍😍
  • @annaholthaus5323
Thank you for not putting a retinoid in your major fade line. I'm pregnant right now and can't use a retinoid but I can still use your line. So thank you
  • @swastikverma9944
Thank God! It was about time someone talked sense on Bio-Retinoids!!!!!!!!!!
  • @anniezion
Best dr there is! So knowledgeable and honest, no bs. Dr Idriss, would you do an episode with sunscreen, specifically mineral ones (as I understand is the most beneficial when using active products and a bit sensitive and easily break out or get irritated. I use Tretinoin and can tolerate it perfectly, but a chemical sunscreen...not so much, always get rashes or bresk outs from it)
  • @robinporter8725
I’m so glad you do this every Saturday cuz it’s pretty much the only time I’m sure of what day it is!! 😂
