If this video proves anything, it’s that the most important spec is who’s driving.
  • Comes to show that with the right driver behind the wheel.the car will respond to its full expected performance!excellent race!

“Here Kitty Kitty Kitty “ whenever I hear that Hellcat whine. Great race. I’m team Hemi but that GT500 is a respected beast.

Mustang driver’s commentary during runs 2 & 3 was excellent.
  • @thagreen72
glad he admitted he didn’t know how to drive it instead of blaming on the car, awesome runs💯
  • Both cars are beautiful . I appreciate both . GM, Ford , Dodge . Keep them coming .
  • @S650Pony
Very exited to see how the Mustang continues to develop, as it seems to continuously get better with every generation.

I've always been a huge mustang fan, and especially the GT500. However I'm not one of those car guys where I hate on anything that isn't a Ford or a mustang. Dodge has done an unbelievable job with the Challenger. Growing up in the 60s would have been unbelievable. To be in the muscle car era growing up would have been a dream come true. That being said I feel that we are equally as lucky living in today's day and age. To have the mustang, challenger, camaro, and Corvettes of today is pretty special. The horsepower that these cars are turning out today is unbelievable. Years down the road there are going to be younger people wishing that they grew up doing this current time. I have a feeling before long we're going to start seeing a reduction in automobiles horsepower and eventually going to Total electric. So in a sense I believe we are living in the last great muscle car era. I'm going to try to sit back and enjoy it for all it's worth.
  • Always been a Dodge fan. But I will always tip my hat to anyone with a muscle car regardless of brand. I will always love seeing Cameros, Mustangs, Vettes, Chargers, Challengers on the roads today, carrying the torch of the days of old muscle and will forever hold these memories like our grandfathers and fathers before us.
  • IMAGINE THE IRONY - GAS FUELED MUSCLE CARS AGAINST A BACKGROUND OF WINDMILLS HARDLY TURNING BECAUSE OF NO WIND.

The hellcat red-eye would've been a more accurate test. With it's 797 horses vs 760 for the Shelby.

Doesnt matter if it’s the fastest muscle car or not but the Shelby GT500 will always be a legendary car all around, the type to make you fall in love at first sight 🔥

I gotta say as a person who loves cars I’ve been to several car shows and seen lots of demons, and been in those cars, but I finally was able to run into a Mustang cobra at a car show. The man took me for a ride that car was extremely fast. All the car had was a upgraded tune. I don’t know how much power the car was producing but I’ve been in challengers with 1000 hp and that mustang felt like it was past 1000 hp range. that 10 speed transmission is on another level .
  • Hey just want to say I respect you for being man enough to know when you're unable to do something I respect your Channel first time watching it now I'm a subscriber Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's
  • GT500’s driver here… Thank you Sam for these races and thank you for telling me to change my Roush for this GT500. I’m not bashing my old Roush which is a beast but this beauty is another thing 🔥🔥🔥 thanks to Dane for racing me again, it’s always a pleasure and more seeing you launching that Hellcat!!! Only Few people are capable to do it, UGLY TRUTH 🔥🔥🔥 Sam, find a Red eye or demon, we don’t race to see who’s the best but for chilling lol Peace everyone and be safe!!!
  • @fedsn8k
Gotta correct you Sam. Shelby American had ZERO input into the making of the GT500. It's all Ford, and more specifically Ford Performance.
  • I am a huge fan of the Mustang and I'm happy to see that the GT500 took the W but I'm still very impressed by the Hellcat being able to hold off the Mustang for a little while. I love hellcats and camaros but the Mustang will always be my favorite 💙
  • I love both cars!!! I own a 01 Z06 with a few mods. I'm selling it for a 2014 GT500. Had 2 mustangs and a 1st generation Lightning. Also this is my 3rd vette. I'm fortunate to have owned these vehicles. The big 3 have great cars with incredible performance right out of the show room. Love them all!!!
