Having a background in working on heavy equipment such as this, and having been a career Firefighter, I would suspect that a hydraulic cylinder may have exploded in the articulated structure of the machine. The shrapnel from such an explosion is deadly to anyone nearby.

Why were they putting out a piece of heavy equipment in a sand pit? The risks are too high trying to save that type of equipment.I am speechless on the reasoning of this action.

Worthless news conference! How do they not know what happened? It was the tire of the loader that popped. He was next to it, the loader 2as on fire, and the tire was compromised due to the heat. The amount of force from the tire killed him

What was the nature of explosion that killed the fire fighter. Why he didn’t take extra precautions steps before endangering himself. I hope a through investigation will be conducted to find the cause of his death. Our condolences to the bereaved family. Fire fighters are our national heroes we salute them to keep our community safe.
