Hi! Every year, nerdfighters who can donate more than $500 to the Project for Awesome come together to form a matching fund so that donors during the p4a can see their impact doubled. If you're able to donate to the matching fund, please join us: projectforawesome.com/matching We can take tax-deductible donations by paypal, credit card, foundation grant, check, or more. Thanks. Can't wait for the p4a wonder beginning Feb. 17th at noon eastern. -John
  • John hesitating when he declares that he likes Hank at the end of the video reminds me of what is so important about Esther day. I love that this community has supported the expression of familial love in a much more open way than other places on the internet
  • I love that John needed to check Wikipedia to remember the one of Hanks jobs that he's literally part of
  • “I worry about you sometimes because I… like you so much.” As an older sibling I FELT that
  • John: "You can only trust information from siblings" John: immediately goes to Wikipedia during first answer

I appreciate that your adoration for Hank is so strong you can't sustain needling him for too long.

The irony of this is that you’re so much sweeter answering these questions about Hank than Hank would probably be answering these about himself. 😂❤️
  • I bought my mom 2d glasses for christmas- my parents are tired of hearing “and you’ll never believe who made that” when I talk about literally anything😂 its either hank or john.
  • @the-rudolph
That recurring “…in a crisp two dimensions” epithet still gets funnier every time. Thanks for continuing to commit to the bit

The most important question in all of this is "How does Hank Green find the time to do all of this?" and the answer is like "Oh yeah I forgot to mention, Hank invented a machine that warps time but only localized to himself. This gives him days that are 32 hours long. He can spend 24 hours doing all of these projects and spend the remaining 8 hours on Tik Tok"
  • My spouse and nerdfighter of many years turned to me as we were watching this and said `Subbable? That was Hank too?!' I just love that after so many years he can still surprise us 😂 (NB we just celebrated 7 years together and we have a son together and yet I have been a nerdfighter longer than I have known my spouse!)
  • I wish I was as tight with my two older brothers as Hank and John are. Like, the way Hank says things like "I came on the pod today mostly because I really wanted to talk to my brother" and John says "I'm your biggest fan since you were born" is so kind and unashamedly proud and such a fantastic example of how siblinghood could look. If I have kids one day I will implement so much of John and Hank into their lives that they'll never be mean to each other!... Unless one of the two leaves a lot of baseball cards around one summer while the other is away and sells them. But that will be the only time!

“I worry about you sometimes because I … like you so much” the brief moment of panic I felt when I thought you were gonna say the thing you only say on Esther Day
  • @TerenceClark
My kids have, for much of their lives, asked me how I know so much about so many things. I always just said I loved learning and that was an okay answer. Then one day one of them came to me all excited about some topic they had just learned about that they thought was really cool. I stopped them and said "That. Just do that for 40 years. That's how I came to know so much about so many things". I think they got it at that point. For the record, they're well on their way to being walking encyclopedias and have since learned a ton about so many things I don't know anything about and I can't wait to see what they do with it all.

This is the wholesome Vlogbrothers content that encouraged me to undertake the 1700+ video omnibus after discovering them 2 years ago. I'm here for it
  • @noahweber5606
With John telling the 2D glasses story again, we really are entering the “dad always telling the same stories all the time” phase of vlogbrothers and I’m not complaining
  • @QY-hj2me
when Sarah Ruhl said “he loved her to the point of invention” she didn’t know it yet, but she was talking about Hank and Kathryn and 2d glasses
  • I'm kind of loving how "turn it down a notch" also seems to be, like, "turn the Vlogbrothers clock back a notch"
