Retro Library ASMR 1960s ✨ Book Jackets πŸ“š Crinkles 🎞️ Stamping (Whispered Only)

Published 2024-01-20
This is whispered. Earphones highly recommended. 🌬️🫠

Do you need some help with the card catalog? I'll be happy to show you around the Dewey Decimal System, and then you'll be right as rain.

This video features nothing but a devoted librarian's careful whispers, very crinkly library books with plastic book jacket covers, page turning, stamping, filing and sorting card catalog cards, and faint office typing.

If you enjoy my content, you can help me grow by leaving a comment and clicking the "like" button. Hope you enjoy. Thank you so much. ☺️✨

The way within the first few seconds I’m instantly transported to the smell of old books, people quietly moving through the stacks, and turning pages is wonderful. Great work as always!

As a child i experienced asmr in the public library with the librarian checking in books, checking out books, page flipping, recommending books and reviewing books.......those were the days.

Oh my gosh! I worked in a library in the 80s, right as they were switching to computers. I was probably one of the last to use one of those card sorters. I’d forgotten about them. What a nostalgia trip!

I commented that I had an interview at a library on your last library video and I just wanted to say I got the job! I’m loving it so much. Thank you for your videos!

Okay, but libraries have a particular smell to them that I LOVE. I miss the cards and having to search for your books. 😭 whenever I go home, I'm gonna have to go to the public library and just... sit there and read. I miss the days of analog... No technology No nothing. Just peace and living in the moment. 😭 Oh noooo, I'm getting sentimental! Love, love, love, this video

I grew up with a librarian grandmother (during 60-70s) and all those sounds are my favorite ASMR triggers since my childhood. Thank you for another wonderful video!

Kids today will never know the excitement of a card catalog /dewey decimal system❀

My grandmothers volunteered at my school’s library, when I was a kid. I spent many an afternoon waiting around for them to be done before I could go home. Thank you for gifting me with a little trip to see them one more time. I had so many feels on this one.

The library of my childhood and teens/college years was the site of my first and most common asmr experience. Used to enjoy the sounds of people whispering there, enhanced by the acoustics of the huge rooms. Also loved the feeling of the treasure hunt there with the card catalog and writing down the letters/numbers before going to find the books on the shelves. Then zeroing in on the perfect book from among those there on that topic for nonfiction books. For fiction, I recall the excitement of finding the exact title I was looking for and being able to take it home for free to immerse myself in and enjoy. Thank you so much for this video 😊

This is double tingles. First of the soft swishy sounds with the paper stuff and the whispers, but then also the library nostalgia. As a child and young man I was just in love with the local library. Thank you so much.

I went to my local library a lot as a kid in the 2000s. I read an entire series by getting each book from the library, I remember the texture of the protective foil around the books. Some still had punchcards in a pocket in the back.

My little town has a small 1960s library that I have patronized for 40 years. It's changed so much over the years and lost much of it's small town vintage charm. Most of the changes involved getting rid of space for books in favor of computers and DVDs, etc. They're currently building a new one which will be barely 200 sq ft bigger and has even less space devoted to actual books and more to computers, meeting spaces, etc. I'm just an old biddy I guess cause in my mind libraries mean books and books and books! Love, love, love your library videos! Thank you so much for the time and effort and attention to detail. 😍😍😍

Part of the fun of going to the library as a kid was finding the books you needed in the card catalog. My mom treated it like a game. I miss the catalogs!

I'm so glad I waited to watch this today! Need something great to settle down to after a great game and lions victory. Detroit is quite noisy tonight :) This video is great with all the whispers and page turning. I'm so glad you realized how soothing and wonderful your voice is to give is streams of tingles to your carefully thought out videos.
