I can't stop connecting this with a ruined childhood by someone or something, Like a happy kid being hurted by a old person or gettin traumatized for something... The worst thing is that this situations happens in real life, and for the kids is possibly more traumatizing than this..

I think this should be an extreme representation of the fear of judgement: everyone is laughing (at you), the eyes everywhere on the twisted sky watching your every move and the arms on the flowers (probably referred to the "point and laugh"). Almost looks like a panic attack or a mental breakdown.
