Imagine living in paradise where you don’t have to worry about bills, taxes, and work

I went to the island of Santos Vanuatu about 20 years ago now. We had a tribe meet us on the beach and perform a tribal welcome dance and we stayed with them for one week. There was no electricity and we ate chickens and river prawns. It was a very interesting culture. We were personal guests from a lady we met in Vanuatu. I would do it again. Very grateful for the experience.

This guy is so fearless he kinda makes this wholesome
  • I am from vanuatu and people here are very friendly. I'm glad you get to share some of our amazing traditions here..
  • That felt pretty intimidating at the start. One thing that really stands out is those people have nothing but nature surrounding them. No internet, modern tech...nothing. They look like the happiest people on earth. Amazing!

They just seemed so genuinely happy and excited. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that kind of energy when someone is meeting someone new before.

this made me so emotional, so so beautiful to see that emotion and an untouched, raw culture.
  • These are some of the happiest people on the planet. Thank you for sharing this ❤
  • Happy to see them far away from depression, anxiety and monthly bills
  • @ahehe_
when they all jumped off the boat ☺️ you don’t have to speak the same language to have fun together. Beautiful.
  • That was absolutely awesome! I love when people from different backgrounds/culture get together and connect. They seem to have a simple yet envious life on that beautiful island.
  • That was so kind of them to throw an entire celebration for some visitors. It was really really nice, I'm like tearing up about it hahaha
  • Dude I can’t even get my neighbors to say “hi” back and Brodie just out here as a rando getting a huge ceremony! These people are such beautiful happy souls

What a privilege, what an honour. Hard work is paying off. Congratulations Brodie
  • I always wanted to start my own tribe and once it’s in its 5th generation I’ll pretend to discover electricity and impress them

Such a beautiful country and amazing locals My honeymoon was in Vanuatu. It’s been eight years since I cannot wait to go back. The locals made me feel at home much love.
  • A guy I know at work grew up on Vanuatu as a missionary with his family he lived amongst some of the local people and tribal people and he’s got a lot of crazy stories.
